Murray Walker answered a question of mine on the BBC last year, anybody else got any good F1 claims to fame? Go to 5 minutes 23- Im AmberAndBlackNickynak! http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/murraywalker/2010/08/
Well I mentioned this before. My dad is a builder and did a job for Mr Ted Toleman. He then got invited to a family wedding which was huge and spectacular aparently and famous people where there including Senna! who brought his lotus along which my mum got a chance to sit inside. I guess that isnt MY cliam to f1 fame but its the closest I get
Hmm, I've sat inside Herberts Stewart F1 car a few years ago, which was pretty cool. When I was really young, I sent a letter to Murray Walker and to the Mclaren F1 team. I got a reply from both. Murray sent me a signed picture and a letter, which I still have somewhere, and Mclaren sent signed pictures of Coulthard and Hakkinen, a letter and a copy of the technical specifications for the MP4-14. There was a few other press release type things in there too, which I can't exactly remember.
When I went to BTCC a couple of years ago, went went on one one those pit lane walk things, and we saw Fabrizio Giovanardi and Jason Plato, but on the way to get a better spot, ironically, we nearly got ran over by Damon Hill!!
That would be a good claim to fame, being killed by an F1 champion! I've met Colin Turkington, Jason Plato and Matt Neal from the BTCC, and last time I went to Donington we bumped into Vicky Butler Henderson near the mechanics area and the guy from Faithless, Maxi Jazz
