Just thought I'd pop this one out there, as there have been a lot of threads saying just how bad certain fans think Andy Carroll has been for us.

I know for a fact we've had worse players at the club in living memory, and I can provide some backup to this theory. Here is my worst XI of the last 20 years...

    Itandje

    Josemi
    Pellegrino
    Tanner
    Kvarme

    Carter
    Diao
    Paul Stewart
    Mark Kennedy

    Voronin
    Dundee

hmmmm.. torben piechnik should be in not poor nick tanner... tanner was a kid and peichnik was a danish international.

jimmy carter is the only guy i ever say sent o nthe pitch as a sub then hauled off again for good reason (i saw a couple when others were sent off)

kennedy or diomede? i'd go for diomede as at least kennedy made some fist at a career at wolves.

voronin or miejer... as eric meijer created wunter under meijer i'll go with the pony tailed pox bucket.

Diouf was a little **** we massively overpaid for, his behaviour was appalling and he never performed to his promise in the 2002 World Cup...

Nunez was at least an honest trier who could be trusted to follow instructions. Limited and he knew it. He's had a journeyman's life since he left us, carrying a CL medal with him...

I heard he was on the verges of packing the game in and re-training as a lawyer before he came to us. Shame no-one persuaded him to follow up and work as our in-house lawyer...

the janitor... i ask you what the hell was rafa thinking? he had to sell owen but to take the janitor?

this team says it all about the past 20 years... each and every manager has made mad stupid signings that everyone and their mother could see were mad...

and yet each manager bar hodgson got close... says it all about the real talent half wasted (we still won stuff) by the lack of some sense.

I'm gonna have a go at this

GK: Itandje (worst ever player for Liverpool)

LB: Konchesky (I hoped he'd do well. I prayed he'd do well.. He didn't)
CB: Pellegrino (My step brother had his name on the back of his shirt, lol)
CB: Kippe (had won more trophies since 2007 then Fernando Torres)
RB: Kronkramp (talk about swap rubbish for rubbish, it's a good job we had Finnan)

LM: Diomède (He has a world cup winners medal!!)
CM: Diao (how is he still in the premier league)
CM: Kozma (he has 40 caps for Hungary, lol)
RM: El Hadji Diouf (I'm shoe horning him in to the side, I know he is a striker but he played right wing on occasion)

ST: Sean Dundee (Faster then Owen.. HA!)
ST: Erik Meijer (A patron for AFC Liverpool and probably the most popular player in this XI)

to be fair you are right... pity real wanted more for an over the hill out of shape player than they were willing to pay for owen... mind you he was a crock...

actually anyone rememebr izvan kozma v chesterfiled souness 0-3 down at half time and in comes kozma with a hat trick..

for me peichnik must be in your team somehwere.... stewart is a good shout too as SENIOR players who were just simply awful. knochesky is a good shout as a guy who never bothered his backside and ran.... josmei or kronkamp is a hard shout...

miejer never played and neither did dundee so they must be the finest signings ever made, never put a foot wrong.

can't beleive none of the biscan cult have dropped by but he was simply awful

Pellegrino is a tad harsh. in his day he was a very good player. Trouble is his days were over when he came to us. Diao was shut. Diouf was **** but not the worst kromkamp was terrible. Nunez is a great call.and josemi. Abel exavier and rig song were also pants!
