Worst ever Newcastle players

    Shola has been at Newcastle for 12 years, with 248 apps, and he hasn't even scored 50 goals yet.

    08-09 - 4 goals in 22 apps
    10-11 - 6 goals in 28 apps
    11-12 - 1 goal in 12 apps

    The guy is an absolutely ****e striker, you know, one of those guys who is supposed to score goals, and it baffles me to this very day how he's been played so much. I'm fairly sure that he has one of the worst app/goal ratios in the premier league, down there with Emile Heskey and Carlton Cole.

    In fact, in HALF a season, Ba has scored more goals than Ameobi has managed in the last FIVE years.

    Problem is though we can cross everything we like, its not gonna put a footballing brain in that maasive heed, or a heart in that flimsy little chest. I've tried to do a Ba and be patient. Ba looked no better than Shola in his opening two games, I was seriously worried. He came good. This fecker is worrying me now, I reckon Fergie has stiffed us big time.

    Wasn't too bad of a player IMO. Was much more suited to CM, but was rarely played there.

    So how does Shola compare to Heskey I hear you all cry?

    Well for League games;

    Shola: 254 games, 49 goals = 0.19 goals per game.

    Heskey: 533 games, 118 goals = 0.22 goals per game.

    However, Heskey has commanded £26,250,000 in transfer fees in his career. On that basis, I'm happier with Shola! So all that money got teams an extra 0.03 goals per game!
