McCain has a smart type running there at 1.30 called Absinthe (NAP). Looks his first string having been a good flat handicapper, and whilst 5/4 sounds a bit skinny, the opposition is not great.
Toppy - I like the look of Absinthe also... And as you say the 5/4 is skinny but look what is up against him... Oddy - Hope the young one is better today...
All the best to the family Oddy, nothing makes you feel more useless than not being able to make a child feel better. Gotta stick with Williams again at Meyden.
I like the other McCain runner at the prices Yeah she's fine mate - gone to school today so she's putting me to shame
Absinthe should win this Like Les Troyens at Meydan 7s is a big price have backed both in singles and a small double
Finjaan to bounce back to his best hopefully here at Meydan. Summer mile runner up I believe 2 or 3 years ago?
Absinthe looks a nice recruit. I was also pleased with the run of Record Breaker in 3rd, doesn't have the scope of the winner but kept on well and hurdled fairly well on debut - will be winning races soon I think.
Loves it red - starts most of his nice horses there and used to write a blog on their website (not sure if he still does).
Absinthe Agree Oddy, Record Breaker ran creditably and should find a handicap somewhere I think. Finjaan went close there at Meydan!
Good call Toppy. Didn't see race (listened to commo) sounds like yours won very won pulling clear despite making mistakes, sound like a decent recruit ?
Cheers Grizzly. I think it was very solid debut, yes. Responded very well when asked for an effor and probably when from 2 lengths down to 3 lengths up in a few strides. Hurdled reasonably well but room for improvement. Not sure how to measure the form against the other good novices, but enough ability to warrant a try up in class yeah.
