Tomorrow night from 7:30pm myself and the rest of the team are doing a pre-game show for Fulham vs Charlton in the FA Cup, a game which is has divided the opinion of our fans and I'm sure that will be the same in the studio. After the game against Brentford I got the impression that the gaffer wanted to put in a worthwhile performance but did not seem too fussed about progressing, should he forget about the cup and concentrate on the league? A mix perhaps of the 1st team and squad player like the previous rounds? But doing so opening the team to a big defeat and possibly having an effect on moral? Or would a cup run allow us to push even more in the upcoming league fixtures by providing that extra boost? So many questions, email us at [email protected] or tweet us @charltonlive We want to hear from you! How serious should we take the game? what first eleven would you choose? Join in the debate from 7:30pm, see you there on CAFC Player
Should we not play the back up to the under 18's.. Don't want poyet, Harriot et all getting injured. Sadly I won't be able to participate tomorrow evening, but best of luck glove.
Sorry Paul, I do not have CAFC Player, another FL rip off monopoly in my opinion Best of luck to you Charlton Live boys however
I'm over 50 Paul , if I knew what a podcast was and how to listen to it I would indeed do just that iTunes???? I haven't got a cold or a stuffy nose?
I'm here to help - Podcast is a condensed version of the show, supposed to be the best bits but on that front we struggle! lol normally out a couple of weeks after the show, being volunteers people have lives to lead. Anyway, you can listen to them here as well! http://www.charltonlive.co.uk/?category_name=podcast
In his piece on the OS, Sullivan mentions that Fulham keeper Neil Etheridge was on loan at Charlton before he was. I know my memory is failing fast (don't get smug, you younger guys, latest research suggests it starts to deteriorate as early as 45 : http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-16425522) but I have absolutely no recollection of such a recent event. Can anyone jog my memory?
Now you mention it, yes he was with us for a very short period. Think he was just there as cover before Sullivan come on the scene, I can understand why you would not remember that. Also see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Etheridge
First of all, let me put this in context by saying that I'm of the generation that got to hear 'Four in the Morning' by Faron Young at every home game for about three seasons... Lively. Primarily guitar based. Clear as a bell on the PA. All new to me (this is important, as I'm always looking for new stuff to listen to) I was just about to say to my S-i-L how good the music was and she got in just before me! It sounded as if care had been taken putting the setlist together. Hope this helps. BTW, if you've got that setlist handy...
Don;t worry Eddie - we often forget he was here. Mark Hughes recalled him pretty much straight away as he didn't start the first couple of games. He claims we promised he would start, we denied that.
You know I don't have a set list, I tend to pick songs that I think would fit with the day. I get asked sometimes what songs I played and I cannot remember, I'm thinking I should make a note for future reference, or tweet as I play them.
glovepup - you're more than welcome to keep playing Cha Cha Bang, which I think appeared twice on Monday. That's a great song.
