Notts County sign Bristol City defender Damion Stewart Notts County have completed the loan signing of Bristol City's Jamaica international defender Damion Stewart. Stewart, 31, has joined until the end of the season and is available to face Doncaster in the FA Cup on Saturday. The centre-half had a season on loan with Bradford in 2005-06 - his first club in English football - before spending four seasons with QPR. He moved to Ashton Gate in July 2010 and has played 24 games, but only three of those have come this term. Almost topical as didn't he score our last winning goal in a cup match, albeit in the other cup?
DAMION HEADS TO NOTTS Posted on: Thu 05 Jan 2012 Damion Stewart has agreed a loan move to Notts County until the end of the season. The centre-half switches to the League One club for the remainder of the campaign, allowing him the chance to get regular match action. Former QPR defender Damion, aged 31, has been restricted to just three appearances so far this season, all back in October. Damion joined City originally in the summer of 2010 for an undisclosed fee and has played 24 games for the club. http://www.bcfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10327~2566738,00.html? Feel a bit sorry for him, always gave an honest account of himself when with us. But it's fair to say his career ain't going in the right direction.
Sorry Roller, i have just posted the same story not knowing you picked it up as well. Didn't bother checking as surely no one would have posted this
When you see this Brixton or Goldhawk, please delete/connect this with Rollers thread. Didn't bother check as surely no one else would post this... Well, lesson learned, i'll be more awake in the future.
No need to apologise mate, the thread would have had no response at all otherwise! Clearly only you and I find this of any interest at all!
Do you remember us debating whether we should keep him or not, and on that subject who thinks we should have kept Jay Simpson
I take interest. Shame really. Thought he used to be a great defender (for our standards anyway). He's better than Hall and Connolly . He must have had the quickest injury ever in that Crystal Palace match (5 seconds! )
Really??? From my recollections he was only ever any good playing with Hall as One Size would always coach him through the match, tell him where to stand, who to mark and when to boot the ball clear.
I took my wife to the Preston game two years ago under Jim Magilton, magic game by the way. Point is, she know nothing about football, never watches it. Still, the player she took most notice of was Damion. Remember, this was a game dominated by Taarabt, but Damion's presence and pace was something to behold that day. For me he was one of the best at that time, before we sat our sights on promotion under Sir Neil.
