    I have to disagree.

Money always ruined football as I have pointed outin previous posts.

1st Million pound player? Who won the European cup within 3 years? Then Man U with Keane Pallister etc.? Chelsea? Going earlier look at record signings and then sucess...

So we are to blame for that? You have money, you just choose not to spend it. Not our fault

There have been others like Blackburn.

But, there have also been plenty of examples that show that you need a good team a d a manager that makes it happen. Mourinho and Man citeh right now show that.

No offence, but what a **** response. Could say that line in response to nearly everything we talk about in football and make it look pointless. If you looking for a way out then just leaving without saying anything would have been that response.

This is my point mate, you have a much more mature view than Jayram, one I have no problem accepted. I just don't like narrow minded people who repeat the same thing over and over without taking on board other people's views. a la Jaywam.

I agree with your latter message though, money is a motivator. But we just have to accept it and move on, there are still players out there who play for passion. Money is what makes the world go round and it was inevitably going to reach football.

<laugh> Okay then, so every single one of your players was a product of your youth system? Your invincibles squad cost about 70 mil.

Jayram you are entitled to your opinion, but the problem I have is the lack of consistency in your argument and more importantly the hypocrisy especially after the history of your own club in regards to "financially cheating".

Whilst I applaud Arsenal for being able to compete with clubs financialy far wealthier than yours you also hastened to forget just how much of an impact wages etc play.

Prior to Harding we could not afford the likes of Klinsmann (Spurs) or Ian Wright etc, clubs such as yourselves could blow us out of the water in terms of wages you could pay.

Napoli's estimated wage bill is £40m, clubs like Milan, Juventus, Inter have wage bill's over 5 TIMES that of them. For years the Milan clubs could spend £30m on individual players in the 90s which was the equivalent of an entire Serie A team's wages. The same in fact worse is true of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Now according to you they would have financially cheated making none of their trophies valid, these very same clubs that you claim have "prestige".

I respect your opinions on some things but you are wrong on this one <ok>

Not looking for a way out, I genuinely don't care. It's a stupid thing to pull us up on, because we've been winning shed loads of silverware whilst spending this money. We did appear to be tightening the purse strings until we bought Torres and Luiz to be fair but we stupidly made a panic buy.

It always sucks how there's always at least one fan who ruins the reputation of their fan base on this site.
