How would we be wasting money? If Chappers gets injured again we dont have anyone to cover him at the same quality. If we payed for another player like chappers we could rotate them which makes them work harder for the starting spot and will also reduce the chance of injury due to them not playing week in week out.
Paying for ANOTHER centre mid, Cork, Hammond, Schneiderlin, Chaplow is enough, not forgetting we're looking to bring JWP and maybe Corby Moore through. We won't sign players for the sake of signing players.
Surely it is a drop in the ocean if we are only paying the rumoured £700,000 as a transfer fee for him. Add to that the shirt sales and it could be a great bit of business.
A winger and a forward is why we need. We won't splash out on a GK or a CM for absolutely no reason, it's common sense
I 100% agree with you. Asia has such a big football following and from what i have heard about Lee is that he has become a big name in Japan. I can see alot of Saints shirts selling in Japan soon. If 700k is true then that is a bargain. Yes he is unproven in english football but he could become a goal scoring machine. Example: Demba Ba was free. Nuff said
Financially Lee could be a sound investment, he is a big name in Japan and his girlfriend is big too - it could be like having Posh and Becks the Japanese version. http://www.football-xtreme.com/2011/01/wag-ayumi-lee-tadanaris-girlfriend.html
On The Bus, that is why I was suggesting a loan and not a permanent signing. I know we have a lot of midfielders however in our recent home games when we have played Cork and Schneiderlin they have been bypassed. Whether this is the fault of the team for playing the long ball or not is open to debate but in the last few games the midfield has been overrun in my opinion.
Josh McEachran is available on loan... His twitter says "Im not sure where im going out on loan yet! I will let you all know as soon as i do!!" as of an hour ago. Would definitely be an interesting one if we were in the running. Thoughts? Lat
Chappers has been playing RM most of the time this season which is for me his best position. So in the end of the day we would be buying another right winger with the same qualities as Chappers but maybe has a bit more pace and not a CM.
Fantastic player indeed for his age however if he's going somewhere on loan then it would be for 1st team football and like you say I can't see him fitting in anywhere. I'd of thought it would be to a prem team like Wigan or Bolton
