On signings front....has anyone heard about this guy???? Seems us and spurs are interesting in him http://www.tribalfootball.com/artic...ardo-saponara-2599951?utm_source=feed_newsnow here is some i found http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/riccardo-saponara/profil/spieler_88909.html
Former Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb could join Swansea. Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers has been allerted that the player would like to play in the Premier League and that a move to QPR is no longer an option. http://soccervoice.com/n111032.htm
Doesn't Borini, get to say anything on the contract signing? why would he sign back into a Chelsea situation again, he's down the pecking order at Roma, and when he does play, is played out of position on the wing, so if he has any intelligence about him, and not forgetting how he'll never deal with Parma again, he'll think twice about the Roma deal, in my view. One goal all season, says a lot about how Roma are using him, wasted at Roma!................ please log in to view this image
I agree that if he had any sense he would come to us but I got reading a couple of these article (fairly poor translations il be honest) and there was one where he himself said he loved it at Roma and is fully intent on staying there...unsure when he was quoted on that mind you. It appears Parma got in there quickly with the intent of selling him quickly for a quick profit. I will check my history now see if i can find the sites i was reading.
as promised http://www.calciomercato.it/news/141224/Marco-De-Marchi-su-Borini-e-De-Jong.html http://www.pagineromaniste.com/borini-roma-11/ cant find the one where he said it himself, but his agent seems to reckon that its just a case of the two clubs signing on the dotted line (Reading between the lines a bit obviously) saying that I could be well off the mark as it is just his agent after all
Ash pondering over a double wage increase to join the toon, brendan has put an £8 million price tag on ash to try and defer suiters and the toon have already offered £5million in the first offer so if they really want him then another £1 mill could clinch the deal and to double ash's wages may sway the deal for him....
goossens reason for rejecting the swans is not the club but he thinks the premiership is a bridge to far for him....
not too sure about proctor as he only scored 3 goals in 21 games in league one, we need much better for the premiership imo....
Don't think he's intended for the PL, Dai. Seems like Buck is looking to groom young talent that can grow into the Premiership, perhaps next season. Donnelly has been the first of the young guns and obviously Buck wants more. Great strategy. They will be schooled in our way of things early on and, if they make the grade, will save us perhaps millions somewhere down the line.
I'm liking this idea too. The PL is nuts, buy someone for 100k off a small club and as long as the player isn't blatantly out of his depth, realistically in a few years he'll have a value of 2/3 million. Also, I assume Rodgers was at Reading when all those Icelandic boys first came over to, so maybe Sigurdsson has already had a bit of schooling in how Brendan likes to do things.
Josh McEachran is being courted by Alex McLeish and Brendan Rodgers and is due to make a decision in the next 48 hours. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...decide-Aston-Villa-Chelsea.html#ixzz1iZqiANKn
http://www.tribalfootball.com/artic...lder-barazite-2602561?utm_source=feed_newsnow Swansea City are keen on former Arsenal midfielder Nacer Barazite. The young Dutchman is expected to leave Austria Wien this month for a move abroad. OE24 says Swansea are competing with FC Porto and Dinamo Moscow for the €3 million-rated midfielder. Swans boss Brendan Rodgers is in the market for a new midfielder after missing out on NEC Nijmegen's John Goossens this week.
f we could add barazite and mceachran to our midfield I would be ecstatic as both of them are quality!!!
If we are now favourites to get Mceachran on loan having already got Caulker and now Sirgurdsson, how can that happen as I thought we are only allowed two loan players?
I think it's two "Long term loanees" but I could be wrong? Maybe it's different if people are from a foreign club? I'll go investigate... http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110715005102AA2dNeh Seems we should be ok?
I think its only 2 loans from the same league. Then again i think Scott maybe right too in that they are not long term loans
