Using a touch screen so I couldn't be arsed to type.Hence the paste.<ok>
Congratulations though, you topped your last eye opener that basically told me that if it was a Utd player that was in Suarez's position I would back him to the hilt. Still scratching my head about that one.And who is this little sister that you speak off?(Suarez has 6 brothers).
This thread has officially gone to **** since the morons arrived.Your not going to resort to racial insults because I've insulted you now are you?
You say you been laughing at Mancs since 73. I think it's the other way round.I'll let you respond if you want,I'm tired of this ****.

My view all along has been that we will never know if Suarez made a **** up language wise or intended a racist insult. That is why I have kept mainly away from the issue as I believe everyone is speculating without the full facts. I don't like to have an opinion on such a strong issue without the facts.

Most people for and against have probably had valid points but the only person who knows the truth is Suarez.

I don't get it. Suarez admitted using the word negro. For him this means black, so do you going around saying what's your problem black? Or what's your problem brown? It's a term regarding the colour of Evra's skin. You can't do that here not even if its not meant in a derogatory term.

So I'm racist because I think it's wrong for someone to talk to someone using the colour of their skin? Straight away, that leads to undertones of racism because you allow the assumption that you think someone has done something wrong because of the colour of their skin, ergo discriminating because of the colour of his skin- which is racism.

Isn't that just the Spanish equivalent of "Black Power"? You know there's a difference between using the word as a description / slogan and using it to specifically identify an individual?

No, they were showing support for Fernando Caceres who was shot and in a coma for 8 weeks.

Fair enough. Don't think that really compares to the Suarez case, but resisting the temptation to open up the can again... ;)

If the term in spanish is so devoid of meaning, then his use of the term many times in a short space of time illustrates that he has about as wide a range of vocabulary as the fanbase he represents...

Being honest, I'd say he was a racist based on the evidence, and can only hope he's different off the pitch. Shame really, as he is gifted with his feet, just not his mouth (but we're getting back to the fanbase there and I won't go any further ;);)...).

I agree its different. I was just making the point that referencing someone's skin colour isn't always negative!

Last time I checked, Evra doesn't speak Spanish so that argument is pure BS.

It still doesn't change the point - similar to Suarez, I live in a country that is not my own and work in a multi-cultural environment.
I have to take care in what I say because my American and Czech colleagues wouldn't interpret my words in the same way as my British colleagues.
A good example is '******', much less offensive to me than my colleagues.

So on an anonymous football forum, you go around calling people racists without any evidence to back it up <doh>
