SSN's league midterm report card was posted today - always nice to see our performance recognised and congratulated with the 2nd highest mark...great attendance numbers too of course!

Could do without the constant reference to Pardew being from London and our hesitance to celebrate his hiring, it's been a year now, it's old news. That reminds me, could do without commentators referring to the summer sales, it's been done to death and is becoming more irrelevant as the points pile up.

What Sky and other media outlets dont realise about the geordies. Is we ALWAYS give a new manager or player a fair crack at the whip. If they fail they fail, if they dont they dont.

Souness thinks we never wanted him and thats why he lost his job. No Graeme, you took over a team that were good enough for the Champions League and finished 13th. Then were 13th when you got sacked.

Pardew got a fair crack and he has done well. End of.

Souness seemed to fall out with all the players that made us great in the Sir Bobby years. Was it him that sold nobby?

No, Sir Bobby sold Nobby - Souness resigned him from Vile.

He did sell Aaron Hughes for £1m though...

Ah then i'll let souness off for that. Also yeah Hughes would've been perfect in this seasons injury/no lb crises

Our attendances must be higher average than when on report card. I thought we now had 50,000+ weekly?

Surely ABBB would be closer to B+ than A-?

The early season low-mid 40s are probably still dragging down the season average. I imagine by the end of the year it will crack 50+

I hate when people go on about how we didn't want Pardew.

    1. We gave him a fair chance, when he got a round of applause as he entered the dugout prior to the Liverpool game proves this.
    2. It was Chris Hughton that made way, the man that got us promoted and had us high flying (for our standards) in the Premier League at the time.
    3. At the time everyone was in shock after Pardews appointment, people even tipped us to go down because of it. He didn't have the best of records either.

Yet, after all this, the likes of Sky act like they knew he was going to be this successful from the beginning and us deluded geordies just didn't like an old cockney geezer in town.

    Oh the beauty of hindsight.

Ben Arfa in detention? Pffft clueless.

Ruiz has improved for Fulham as well, why is he in detention, and why is Phi Jones Man U's star pupil?? <confused>

    Sky piss me off.
