"Marseille president Vincent Labrune says the club will not stand in striker Andre-Pierre Gignac's way if he wants to leave. The 26-year-old Gignac joined before the start of last season but has struggled to settle in and has lost his place in the France squad."

    Maybe worht a punt?

    Remy would cost €25,000,000 though.

Gignac would be a cracking signing, but i fear MON will swerve him due to his lack of pace.

Dunno, he like's heskey so I doubt pace is an issue. Giroud has been awesome, think I would prefer him now.
I really rate Gignac, but I'm dubious bout buying a lad who can't even settle in his home country.

I think the problem with settling is more to do with him getting an injury, then Remy and Ayew were doing class so he never got in.

Giroud looks good, but you have to remember it´s just this season, and the whole side is over-performing, he could be flash in the pan, and they are talking crazy money!

Gignac for around €8million, as suggested, is small risk, as if he flopped, a French club would give €5-6million back.

Did he fall out with the coach for being overweight or summit? If we can get him fighting fit and happy he is brilliant.
How much you heard they asking for Giroud btw?

The Montpellier owner, who´s mad as a box of frogs, is quoting €40million!

    He´s a ****ing nut job.

Gignac was out injured for a while and had bother getting the weight off, but he´d do well in England, i´m certain.

Look at Holt at Norwich, causes mayhem, and he´s fat as ****, haha.

Wow they won't get anywhere near that. Liverpool have ****ed everyone over with the Carroll signing. Suddenly any lanky twat is worth 20+ mil.

    Ha, this is it.

Realistically, Montpellier won´t sell if there´s a chance of CL football, and there is, but that team will be dismantled by bigger clubs at the end of the season, so Giroud, Ait Fana and the left back lad, who i really like the look of (but can´t recall name of), will be gone.

They sell Giroud for €15million-ish IMO.
