Following on from the best song intro thread, we obviously have a few Floyd fans on here, non bigger than myself.
So, name your favourite Floyd song, mine is undoubtedly Comfortably Numb, especially the live version, not only is it the best Floyd song but also the greatest song ever full stop.

Trust Syd to ruin a good thread by bringing dogs into it.

    MackemO,

Depends on mood, too many classics to narrow down to one. All songs mentioned are bril altho See Emily Play is going way way back in time. If I had to pick one not mentioned yet would probably go for Echoes.

Comfortably Numb IS the greatest song ever written and contains the GREATEST guitar solo of all time!
So many other great tunes from the band though most mentioned above except Marooned.
Turn off the lights turn up the stereo and your in paradise.

Comfortably numb obviously. But with so many to choose from . . . . Run like hell. Ask me again tomorrow and it'll be something else.

Unbelievable. Well worth youtubing. They did a great video that shows the style of the band and includes and imaginary cricket match in black and white. Actually, I mean in grey-scale.

    Hmm what to choose.

Love Time, Money, Shine on but my favourite has to be Us & Them

Like comfortably numb but not the biggest fan of the album as a whole. Dark side of the moon is their crowning moment. Waters' songwriting is second to no other

Hmm, not sure. The version of Shine On You Crrazy Diamond from Pulse was extremely good, Wish You Were Here is beautiful, Comfortably Numb is obviously epic, Echoes is brilliant, Time, Money, so many to choose from.

Favourite album? i'd have to say The Wall wins it for me, but I love Dark Side, Wish You Were Here and The Final Cut.

I saw Roger Waters perform The Wall in Manchester last year, not sure if anyone else saw it but it was friggin' amazing. It would have been better with the other two but he performed superbly, his voice has got better and the show was just spectacular!

    Best Floyd song(s);

    Shine on You Crazy Diamond
    Wish You Were Here
    Comfortably Numb

And Lost For Words I think it is from The Division Bell for the lines

"And I Open My Door to My Enemies
And I ask them to wipe the slate clean
But they tell me to please go **** myself
Sometimes you just can't win !"

    sheer class !!
