He is contractually entitled to be paid his salary. This is unrelated to what he is worth which is set by the market. I assert that his market worth is what Spurs are paying him. There is only a subsidy involved if City deliberately turned down a higher offer to help Spurs out.

But we are title contenders, so City could end up regretting that decision. COYS!

its called a good piece of business by THFC..taking advantage of the fact the man ****ty got a pot of gold and didnt know what to do with it so bought anyone and everyone that was a someone and then overpaid them...now they are stuck...this is where the clever clubs take advatntage <ok>

you yourselves have done a kind of shcit version of this aswell by resigning Henry <ok>

Seems to me like this is nothing to do with some kind of moral high ground about the player loan system...to me it just sounds like the Goons are tortured by the fact that we have a player playing for us who is ex arsenal..screwed them over with his attitude then rubbed it in once when he celebrated against them after scoring and twice after rejoining the goons rivals...

and it hurts you that a player left you to earn a bigger wage yet hes playing for Spurs whos highest earner is probably on less than some average joe playing for arsenal....its probably just baffled you....<ok>

The loan system is perfect..its not a system of oppression....if the feeding club wants to send a player out on loan its for one of many reasons..to put him in the shop window or for him to gain experience...either way the intention was never to benefit the receiving club..therefore it is understandable that the parent clubs are prepeared to pay alot of the wage for that player...so why do fans have an issue with this??

id be more worried about ticket prices and replica kit prices...thats what hits the fans pockets <ok>

Really? Probably the only good thing about us this year is the back 4. Johnson (England), Skrtel (Slovakia) and Agger (Denmark) are all established Internationals and the only one you can name and admire is Enrique who is yet to be called up? Not that I disagree with you on that because he has been a revelation in what was a problem area.
I wouldn't say we rely on Saurez as much as Arsenal do with RVP because we have struggled to score goals with him in the team all season, funnily enough the first game without him we scored 3. I think the loss of Lucas will be felt throughout the season more than Saurez.
If you consider Adam as one of our good players then god help us, I wouldn't credit him that much appraisal (although his only really good game was against you).
But I do agree with what you said about creativity, we do make enough chances but the creativity/final touch is dire and we don't have the quality up top to put goals away. Downing supposedly turned Arsenal down in the summer, I would guess many of the Gooners are delighted at the bullet dodged. <ok>

Sorry I was rather damning of Liverpool there. Unfairly so. What I meant is that I couldn't name your starting defence. But now I do remember it. And I am surprised about Adam. I thought he was highly regarded. I agree that Lucas is a massive loss.

I think Modric and Bale will be snapped up by European giants. I however did say that you only may not be able to replace them, not that you wouldn't. If you get top 4 which you probably will, you will get equally suitable replacements, funds allowing. Definitely not desperate.

To be honest I don't know what is more damning...what you said or the truth. I think it could be the latter. <laugh>

At least if we were a one man team reliant on one player (Say Saurez with more assists and goals) then maybe we would be sitting higher up in the table. At the moment we don't have anyone that can take responsibility and carry us through games except Gerrard who has only appeared as a substitute this season.

I would much prefer it to be a one man team getting results rather than a team full of bottlers who can't do anything in the final third.

so why are you not losing your best players or potentially?

your having a troublesome season..will probably finish below us..we are definately on the ascendency as a club...and Chelsea seem on a decline unless the chequebook comes out..even then success is not guaranteed....so why would they want to leave before the likes of Romeu,Sturridge and Mata leave your club?

or have footballers all of a sudden become loyal to very very recent history and therefore cant help but want to stay at chelsea?

I respect your honesty about your club. Definitley refreshing these days. Yeah, I guess its the results that matter in the long run, whoever gets them.

Its to do with the media. There are always reports flying around Bale and Modric with Barca, us, Man Utd etc. all looking at them, whereas all the Chelsea exit rumours are concentrated around Drogba, Lampard, Bosingwa and other fringe players. I know what you mean but I believe you loosing Modric or Bale is more likely than us loosing Sturridge or Mata. For the moment at least.

I think it's more likely that Spurs will lose Modric and Bale if they don't make top 4. We're only just half way through the season and Spurs have some tough fixtures coming up. It depends on how they handle the second half of the season and the run in. I'm hoping that the return of Wilshere and Sagna will give us the boost we need to consolidate a top 4 place. I think 3rd to 5th are between Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs - and they could finish in any order.

It doesn't matter, we have pedigree, have won things and been at the highest level for a good 15 years running now. People will want to come to Chelsea because we are Chelsea (Lukaku).

If you are a world class player or aspiring to be at the top level why would you want to be at Spurs? When you can be at clubs like United, City, Chelsea and Arsenal all of whom will win more, offer more wages and compete at the highest level and have the best facilities etc <ok>
