So, my company are re-structuring and we all have to re-apply for certain job roles. Kinda sucks.

 

I recommend you reapply to be a bin man

 

The role I'm most likely to get it Admin Assistant (Reporting) which is a step down from my current role as an Account Manager.

There is only going to be one Account Manager role available and currently we have 4 Account Managers at the company. 2 of the other Account Managers are a lot more experienced than me so either of those are likely to get the role. However, I am probably the best at the Company when it comes to report writing, statistics, market research etc which means that I am likely to get the Admin Assistant (Reporting) role. That means that the remaining 2 Account Managers are going to be left without a job, which sucks.

I'm hoping if I get the Admin Assistant (Reporting) role I can work alongside the Account Manager and gain more experience, then if in the future the Company take on new accounts and need another Account Manager I am likely to get that position.

Sucks but that's the recession for you and at least I may still be lucky enough to have a job once this is all sorted.
