really? why have you been stuck in the lower leagues for the best part of a decade then? Surely a 'big' club could sort out their finances quicker than that? You're a large provincial club with insular support, mainly due to your unattractive playstyle of years gone by, this harms you in the foreign income generated by merchandising, in an era when money rules football you don't really stand a chance. You may get to the premier, but I doubt you'll ever be pushing for top. Sadly I think some of you (like some of West Hams fans) have been deluded in expecting something that you bankrupted yourself trying to attain before.

It could if it had a chairman who wasn't obstinate and archaic in his approach. What does that even mean? A provincial club is someone like Villa or Crystal Palace who get fans from the Birmingham/West Midlands area or the Home Counties respectively, but aren't supported nationwide. Leeds fans come from all over the country, from Plymouth to Penrith. We turned over 27m in our last season in division three, that's massive. Before their Arab takeover, Man City predicted they had 6m fans worldwide. We had a far bigger UK fanbase than them at that time, so no doubt we have at least 10m fans around the globe of various levels of loyalty and dedication. We've been televized eight times this season and will only be surpassed by maybe five or six Premiership clubs in that respect. Again, if our chairman had the foggiest clue how to make the most of our potential, we'd be making the most of international marketing. The fact we've been marginalized and victimized is a good thing, it means we don't get clueless do-gooders, 'purists' and glory supporters, but people who see something edgy in the club and want to stick with it. Wrong. We expect it because of the 60s, 70s and early 90s when we won the top division, not because of O'Leary/Ridsdale.
Ah, someone else who doesn't actually know the history of the club and only goes on "Dirty Leeds" and "Living the Dream" propaganda. News for you, we finished 3rd in 99/00 with a team mainly comprised of academy youngsters and completed by astute, good quality signings, before that twat Ridsdale wasted all that money, and only finished below 5th 3 times in the preceding 7 seasons of the Premier League, having won the league the season before it was formed.
