    Wrong Jayram.

I said that the RVP story was made up - Sky Sports proved that when they published the interview with RVP.

That is not anywhere near the same thing as saying that therefore EVERY story the Metro publish must also be made up, because they are owned by the Mail.

Two spearate news sources are saying that the delay is down to the Red Bulls, not as you'd claimed - Arsenal's 'shambles' in the admin process.

There is no hypocrisy - only an inability of yours to admit when you are wrong.

    Here we go again.

Guys, your's is an argument of ignorance, what Jayram is saying is completely clear.

    a) PISKIE refutes articles in newspapers as proof of anything then chooses to use articles in one of the worst perpetrators of making things up .. the SUN ... as his proof in this instance.

    b) Jayram said it is the fault of Arsenal Employees but he thinks it is right that Wenger/the club DO NOT come out in public to blame them.

What is so difficult to understand ? To claim that Jayram is coming off badly here is utter tripe, it is those arguing with him that are, what Jayram wrote is clear and those arguing with him are looking pretty desperate and very pedantic. Soon you'll be pulling him up on his spelling/grammar <doh>

Mate don't even bother arguing with them further on this post.

PISKIE will never admit to being wrong even when he is and, you've made your point, leave the rest of us to judge for ourselves who is right and who is wrong, the thread is there for all to see, let them argue with themselves.

I suggest PISKIE and co look up the meanings of the words hypocrisy and irony.

In my most humble of opinions, I think Cym is right, and the Henry negotiations were only begun after it was obvious that Podolski wasn't coming. Makes total sense that to me. Then Arsenal started negotiations immediately, which was the earliest opportunity. Then the Red Bulls held it up.

Arsenal could have started negotiations earlier, but they wanted Podolski. Now Red Bulls are holding it up.

And why are they holding it up? Because they've spent the entirety of the last few days following this stupid argument instead of filling out the paperwork - BACK TO WORK MINIONS!!

loaning Henry should be a minor piece of work. He may not be of use at all.

What we should be concentrating on is - I repeat - signing a top striker, a creative midfielder, 'loaning' of fullbacks....

    I haven't deleted any posts.

If you have any integrity, you'll retract that statement.

Podolski wouldn't want to come if Henry was competing with him for a place - he already would have an on-form RvP to compete with. If Podolski came in, Henry would be totally unnecessary.

One or the other, not both. And opening negotiations with Red Bulls would sour the relationship if you then turned round after they'd put time and effort into it and suddenly decided you didn't want hiim any more. I think it's been done in the best way.

Piskie 'It was handled in the best way possible'.
You cannot possibly know that - as you keep saying - none of us know the facts.

  10. Seems to me that of late we have trouble getting the players we say we would like either because we were slow off the mark to begin with or dithered during negotiations or put in laughable offers or simply because we cannot find a way to get deals done. I refer to a live discussion on Talksport where this apparent inability of our club to seal the deal was discussed. One of the points brought up was that we also keep players waiting till finally they decide it simply isn't worth waiting for us anymore. Xabi Alonso and i Juan Mata come to mind if I recall correctly. In Mata's case, Chelsea gazumped us with a lucrative salary offer which Mata could not ignore. You would have thought that it was worth the 135K or whatever a week we pay our manager and the attractive bonus we pay that CEO for them to make a serious attempt to get the job done if not early, certainly on time, but this seems too much to ask. Paperwork not done or done on time is nothing new of course. Look at the case of young Mr Campbell.

Same old, same old Arsenal. My, how we've slipped away and become also rans. Thanks to Arsene, the board and it's useless negotiators. And the only man who could have saved us all this agony is sidelined. I speak of David Dein of course.

but you DON'T discuss. You just shout down any point of view that doesn't arse-lick either Wenger or the club.

You are clearly on a crusade to drive any opinion that isn't yours off this board.

Not true, I'm just pointing out what I don't agree with. Everyone is free to do the same <ok>

  16. I thought this was the Arsenal board too my friend but really it's more like Piskie's Place. It's only natural he should have the last word. He seems so needy after all.

  19. But of course Piskie, as long as you have the final say. From all the discussions on this board, this if nothing else is very clear. If not comment would not have been made about it.
