Another winger doing well who i think we could get is Matty Phillips from Blackpool

 

Yeh I quite like him. I'd like two wingers, I have doubts about Stewart and Kebe but both are very good on their day.

I'm worried we're not really being linked with any centre mids, apart from Koren, who at 31 isn't looking a great proposition to me. I'd like us to find another young Mark Davies/Tom Cleverley type, rather than over pay forsomeone in his 30s.

Kebe offered new deal at Reading

 

Yeah, I think we could really do with another midfielder of their type. Johnson could have been that player but he doesn't seem to be in Nigel's plans. Someone who comes to my mind is Jonjo Shelvey who did well when he was at Blackpool. Barry Bannan as well doesn't really get into the Villa side. Ross Barkely at Everton, Spurs have got a decent young player called Tom Carroll. All of these guys I reckon we could get on loan but this is usually where Steve Walsh comes into his own and pulls out a gem of a player that nobodies heard of.

 

On Twitter last night i seen a young Arsenal midfielders name mentioned called Conor Henderson

 

According to the BBC story about Kebe, he's failed to make the Mali squad for the African Cup of Nations! Mali! I know there may be all sorts of political connotations to this, but it's hardly a ringing endorsement is it?

Yeah, could have been a top defender if he could ever stay fit.

 

Massive shame, he's a really nice guy as well as a good centre half.


I remember that if he'd stayed fit during that game against Sheffield Wednesday then I think we'd have stayed up.

I remember him having their strikers in his pocket before falling awkwardly.

 

Was class in our promotion from league 1. Legs seemed to have gone this year after his injury though, think we've seen the last of him in a Leeds shirt sadly.

But yeah, he was so injured, and i think killed his career by trying to play on for the next 5 minutes before going off. Class player and guy, stood for everything i wish i lot of the players would show know.

After a cheeky look on the Dull board to find anything about Cameron -> Leicester I noticed that OLM kept on saying 'our new winger bid hasn't been accepted yet' and he keeps on claiming to be in the know.

Are they looking to replace him before he leaves? Food for thought.

 

The mercury says we are going to up our interest in Billy Sharp and Jimmy Kebe over the next week. It says Kebe is now the number 1 target ahead of Cameron Stewart

It also says with Bamba going to the african cup Sean St. Ledger could get another chance

 

Im hoping Tunch gets a start tbh, SSL won't have his heart here anymore after we played Tunch ahead of him at palace.

Also hope that Pelts gets well soon so that we can use him as CB cover, as well as on the wing of course.
