You can see why he is upset though, he played two good games back to back but gets dropped for a useless bag of ****e called Obertan.

People accuse me of assuming things. But assuming HBA isnt in the team because of his attitude is a lot worse than me assuming he has been fit for the past 2 months.

I think I am pretty safe in thinking that a professional player can regain a level of fitness to start football matches, especially considering he started vs Man U, Man C & Chelsea consecutively.

Maybe if Pardew refused to play Obertan then he might start throwing his toys out of the pram?! Who knows, Pardew will never drop that useless c*nt.

Yeah I'm with you on this one. Pardew is no mug, he isn't purely leaving Ben Arfa out to piss off the fans or HBA himself. We aren't in the training ground/team bus/hotels or whatever so we don't know what Ben Arfa is really like. He has a history of being a stroppy little twat and an even greater history of falling out with team mates and managers. He must have said or done something Pardew isn't happy with.

Yep. So, how does he respond to being dropped, does he arrogantly claim he's better than Obertan and expect to get into the team or does he work hard to prove he's better (which one must assume Obertan has been doing). Frankly if it's the former, so long as we don't let him go to another Premier League side, what's the point in indulging his ego? Remember how far that got Man City.

Also, as I said to Bano, we don't know what came up in the physio data after the Man U game. Starting those two might have put him at risk of long-term damage.

I'd say he has to, and will, start against Blackburn. Whether he keeps his place for QPR is another matter entirely though.

Wow. You're imagination and story telling are exemplary. All of it totally made up by yourself but you seem to believe it so truly. Amazing. Respect.

At the same time though, people seem to be making up the fact that Ben Arfa is simply unhappy because mean old Pards won't play him. There must be a reason for this, and that's what tomtom94 seems to be getting at.

So you're still taking the angle that Pardew's a **** manager who just hates Ben Arfa for no reason?

Ben Arfa is our only playmaker. Every club needs one and we can't lose him because he gives us something different. He can unlock defences and create moments of genius. He just needs to up his game.

The Sun says Ben Arfa is unhappy.

    The Sun.

    Once more. The Sun.

The same interview was conducted in front of The Times and The Chronicle and you know what? They didn't manage to construe that Ben Arfa was unhappy.

    Last time.

No im not saying Pardew is a sh*t manager or that he hates Ben Arfa. When did I say that? Words in mouth placement, isnt good.

I'm saying Pardew just simply a) Can't find a place in the team for him as he wants to play 4-4-2 but has pigeon holed HBA as a No.10. Which is wrong b) Isn't willing to play him out wide to fit into this 4-4-2. Which against the Swansea's of this world is wrong c) Doesn't think his level of performance is worthy of a first team start, but somehow Obertan's is. Which is wrong.

Basically Pardew could fit HBA into the team if he thought higher of him, but he doesn't. And i'm saying he's wrong.

Assuming it must be down to his attitude is wrong. For all we know, Obertan is a right whinging moody kn*b, but gets in the team every week.

But it's not wrong to assume that at all. Surely you must realise that there could be an outside possibility that there is more to this than meets the eye. More than Pardew just being wrong about Ben Arfa. We support a club that aren't widely known for their openness and we don't have a clue what is going on behind the scenes. I think it's perfectly okay making an educated guess that someone with a history of being difficult to manage is perhaps being a bit difficult to manage.

Our dip in form has simply seen Pardew revert to a direct style of play, using Benni to come for the last 20mins or so. Of course Benni is not happy and that is understandable. I would pick him ahead of Obertan all day long in any position on the pitch. We are not always going to agree with the manager, that's just life. He may be misbehaving but I honestly think Pardew doesn't see a role for him in his current style of play. We started the season playing passing possession football. For the last few weeks we've been route one battering rams. Its pure hoofball and not nice to watch. Last night wasn't great to watch as a footballing spectacle but I have to say the goals plus our sheer determination had to warm even the coldest heart. My only hope is that our long term goal is play football properly or Pardew will lose a good percentage of our supports faith pretty quickly. Everything he has said up to now has been about us playing carpet football, so maybe this is just the means to an end in terms of getting us through our little sticky patch and dealing with the English winter.

Hopefully. Because when we actually get the ball down and pass and move, we look really, really good at times.

Last night wasn't a game for Ben Arfa or passing football to an extent, with the conditions Pardew stuck two big men up front and gave the instruction to get the ball up to them early to pressure the back 4 & keeper, Fergie tried to play their usual brand of football on the deck. Draw your own conclusions, horses for courses.
