    Where does this put Newcastle now? You've not been on the best of form but you have come out of a tough band of 7/8 games still 7th. I think it's safe to say you passed the first REAL test (;)), so do you think you will start winning games again, or fall down now Ba and Tiote are going for a month?

    I reckon that so long as Ba's absence means Ben Arfa starts games again, we can cope throughout January without him. Plus, we have Gosling, Abeid and Vuckic to cover Tiote. We might be scraping a couple of 1-0s over the course of the next few games though.

    When will he be back from his injury? He was fantastic in the few games that he did play for us, but I fear he won't be back before Tiote is :(

    According to the ever-reliable* physioroom.com, he won't be back before the 19th at the earliest.

    So looks like it's Gosling vs Vuckic 'till then :) I wonder if Abeid will get a start v Blackburn.

    I am looking forward to Best and HBA. Call me deluded, but I think they'll score as many goals between them and our current Ba and A.N. Other do at the moment. Perhaps I should be worried but I'm not.

    Tiote will be a miss, but we have cental midfielders. Opportunity for some bit players to make themselves heros

    Think we will get more goals because they've have become more reliant on Ba for goals since the Blackburn home game in the league. Best 3 goals all before that game backs this up.

    We had a bunch of really ****ty injuries, mainly in the defensive areas.

    They took their tole. Hopefully we can start pushing on now. We've always had the ability and we were still scoring goals, but it was hard to defend because of only having 1 and in one game, no available CB's.

    Some negative people kept on going on about how we will fall down the table. IMO we could very possibly finish where we are now and that's the aim I've had for us for ages.

    Yeah, suspect that's why Pards didn't use him, probably keeping him safe for their absence, which IMO is the right thing to do. Can't say I wasn't screaming at the TV to bring him on instead when Perch came on.

    So unbelievably happy. I nearly shed a tear last night, especially when the camera flicked to the crowd. God I wish I was there, sooooo much!
