The least barton can do is travel to newcastle and support his team mates
what does happen to players who are banned on match days
do they stay at home on the ps3 or do they go to the game
for what he is supposedly earning he should be on the team bus

not sure why i used the word earned
he would probably think the word should be deserved
even though the only thing he has earned which was deserved was the jail term

I was expecting to read grow, shut up, and play football and earn your salary and stop being a complete richardhead on the pitch and on tweeter. I reckon it was the tweets that helped him secure a three game break

Worth repeating - he didn't headbutt Johnson.

HOWEVER, he was stupid to get involved especially with his past history. he is a captain of our side, a leader on the pitch that sored a decent goal - and with 11 men on the field of play, we might have won the game. He is also 29 years of age and has been telling everyone for ages that he is good enough to play for England - If he is he should stat to prove it rather than tweet about it. Whilst he didn't headbutt the cheat, he showed intent. he should have gone down when he was clattered by the two canaries and then it woukld have been interesting to see what the ref and his line assistants would have done.

'Intent' isn't a red card offence

"OUR" club - and I'm happy he's with us. We're playing football, just not getting the run of the ball with decisions, injuries etc. But it's January, and a few new faces and the levelling that the ACN will provide could work well for us.

Apparently, 'intent' that none of the officials see IS a red card offence, in light of the FA's stated desire not to look like an inept bunch of twats.

Well said, the FA are a bunch of morons. How can you have a red card that no-one flagged for and the ref doesn't blow his whistle for. rubbsish

Maybe Warnock should leave him at home for the three games to see what kind of influence he really has on the team, negative or positive.
