... and he's playing against us in a black and white shirt. Demba Ba is a superb striker, an out an out beast of a finisher in the shape of the much missed Louis Saha. I suggest we give up this fruitless chase of the ever unavailable centre midfielder, sign Ba and stick him up front between Nani and Young. We then play Jones, Rooney and Carrick in a three man midfield and the job is pretty much done for now. Oh, and we snatch Cahill from under Chelsea's noses to cover Jones at CH. And yes, I'm serious.
Demba Ba is a fantastic player. Id swap Berbatov for him (very absent again today, two great matches every 3 months isn't enough). As always i doubt it would actually happen. Thought he looked pretty good at west ham, but his goal record shows i was underrating him. 7 in 12 for a shocking West Ham side and now 15 in 19 for Newcastle.
Ba has a dodgy knee. That's the main reason none of top clubs went for him last time round - experts seem to think it's only a matter of time before it goes. Great player but a big gamble
I'd think so too. Wasn't aware of this underlying knee problem and had also overlooked the ACoN but for me he would be a good solution to this season, we realign who we have and approach it like that. The more I look at them the more I see Rooney and Jones as potential centre midfield partners.
