We are already so well catered for in that department though generally, it's just our injuries, perhaps a loan might be the solution until we can get Parker, Sandro, Hudd fit again - we wouldn't be able to get anyone decent in permanently without spending mega bucks which would be better spent up front.

Two lucky escapes: Cahill and Adam

Both nearly signed- better off without them. Lesson to be learned- not to rush into signings especially if we don't need them. Look at Pienaar- didn't need him and now we are looking at letting him go.

He looks a top player and is used to playing as a lone striker.

That's what we need as a priority, another striker.

I'd prioritise a backup winger ahead of NEW STRIKER at the moment.

I am not sure. With Pav pretty much out the door we will only have two strikers and only Ade can play the lone role effectively!!

There's no way Spurs should let it get to the point where we only have 2 strikers.

I've not heard much about Moussa Sow who is the next name we're being linked with but I understand he's been decent in the French league.

His name's come up once or twice, but we've never really mined Ligue 1 for players in the past - Kaboul, BAE, Zokora and Taarabt being the main players that come to mind (in other words, two hits, one miss, and an utter failure - and Klinsmann was a no-brainer, so doesn't really count...)

12m for Hoilett and Samba would be good business IMO

Don't think Kean would want to let his best players go, then again he may not have a choice.

Hoilett only has 6 months left and Samba is reportedly unsettled so may be a goer...

I thought they valued him at around £30mill not £15mill?!

We're also linked with Moses today. Hope that's not true we've already got one Crystal Palace flop.

There's no way Santos will let Ganso go for £15m unless they're short on cash. I've only seen him briefly but he looks a top prospect. Question is though, where does he fit into the first XI?

I think a striker and like YV said a back up winger should be priority.

Would love: Cavani (we can dream!) and Krasic/ Hoilett (providing they'd settle for squad roles).

Think we'll get: None... Can see a repeat of last January where we make late high bids but end up with nothing.
