I am not usually one to rub salt in wounds, especially as we are worse off and have problems of our own, but I don't think you should overreact at tonight's result, perhaps the Blackburn game yes as that was at home to a team 20th in the league but you were beaten comprehensively tonight by a team that wanted it more than you did.

I've said for a while now that I don't believe you are any better than us, Arsenal or in particular Spurs.

Come next season you'll be a force but De Gea, Jones and your other new signings will take time to gel. Smalling and Vidic (who IMO) are your best two defenders have missed a huge chunk of the season as well.

Beating relegation fodder whilst City had tough away games + Arsenal perhaps papered over the cracks for a while, but sorry to say that City are too good this year. Bookmark it if you like and if United finish 1st I will never post on your board again but City have it all and come late January/February I fully expect them to start pulling away. With trips to the Bridge, WHL. Etihad and Emirates to come it doesn't look good for you IMO <ok>

You'll come back stronger next season though <ok>

United look very shakey with injuries no doubt, but Ferdinand is an established experienced CB and Jones is a £16m international so no excuses!

Looking forward to the game in Feb :)

3 points. You'd think we were 11 off the top or something.

We may not be much better than Arsenal or Spurs. But we're a lot better than Chelsea <ok>

Yeah city have the advantage, better squad, more points, more money, but the likes of liverpool, arsenal and chelsea are not even in the same league as us, never mind city

Yes but City have played harder games (on paper) and let's be honest they aren't going to be turned over 6-1 by anybody or least of all lose 3 goals at home to a team bottom of the table.

You are a good side and in certain areas probably stronger than any other side including City on your day but as aforementioned you are badly lacking in the creativity department, something which us and Arsenal also lack.

You are 8 points ahead of us now, but I wouldn't be surprised to see that gap reduced to 3 or less by the time we have played you at the Bridge <ok>

IMO there is nothing in it between yourselves, us, Arsenal and Spurs. If I am wrong I will write a full apology admitting I was wrong and never appear on your board again but it's just on what I have seen this season.

Ah Drogs, I was hoping it would be District to bite on that one ;)

Besides which, Arsenal are only behind you cos they haven't played you at home yet...

Seriously tho, are you not at all worried? Your form over the last few weeks has been very indifferent, and Spurs are showing no signs of collapsing any time soon. Could be a three way between Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool for fourth spot at this rate, and whilst you'd be favourites for it you wouldn't be overwhelming favourites.

They dont have our massive injury list and we inflicted that 6-1 on ourselves by attacking when a man down. It wasnt the true gulf in quality. I do think Vidic being out for the rest of the season has left us very weak at the back. I will accept that.

    Doubt that very much.

Your also locked in a battle with two other underperforming sides to scrape back into that same Champions League next year.

Remember when we got beat 3-0 by Fulham away? We got beat by the better team on the day, not necessarily a reflection on how bad/very bad the squad it. And they can't be that bad when we win most of our games and win them well.

Sorry, I'm a little too giddy tonight <ok>

So you think Arsenal are guaranteed to beat us at home?

We were in the same position last year (actually worse, outside the top four) and we ended up joint 2nd.
