The only consolation I can take, is the worst player on the pitch was a Geordie! :p

And Taylors Mam did a **** job of dressing him for SS!

What's the craic with Ben Arfa? Why can't he get a game, he's potentially one of your best players imo?

Fully deserved win, I thought Man U would have more about them as the tactics seemed to be very route one but with BA leading the line you'll always have a threat. Toite was again impressive but could somone please tell Gutierrez to stay on his feet as he looks as if he suffers from vertico? One thing I would say is that that was one of the worst Man Utd preformances I've ever watched.

Both Manchester teams came to the northeast with the big "I am" attitude. Both have been sent packing back to Manchester with their tails between their legs and no points!

Good win for the Mags <applause>

All's well in our part of the country. Delighted at our run. Very happy indeed to see Newcastle perform the way we all know they can. Well done to both clubs!

Man Utd were trying to play their usual football at times, but they just couldn't do it. There were periods when they played some very impressive arrangements of short passing football when they were on the attack, and there was a brief period in the second half where they never seemed to stop attacking, including that moment where Simpson made that goal line clearance. They played bloody well then and I was terrified.

I'll admit they didn't have their best game, but it was equally down to us winning the midfield battle. The number of times we won the ball back in midfield was ridiculous, and it's all thanks to the Cabaye and Tiote combo.
