We'll see what happens. Personally I'd rather he didn't talk about 'potential signings', it just raises expectations.

Apparently Cissokho played horribly last year, not too sure.

We have until the end of Jan to make signings, so we might not see anyone before the Leeds game (Apart from Henry)

Or it means that the right players aren't available, rather that than a panic buy ?

or there is no real intention to buy, so prevarication is the answer.

a classic Wenger move - cheap, past best, no threat to the other players once they return.

even more dead wood being collected. When is the bonfire?

Apparently it is NYRB who are holding up the paperwork, not as you have wrongly assumed (and continued to claim) Arsenal's 'shambles' of an admin team. <ok>

i think you're wrong Jayram. it's NYRB who are holding it up. if Arsenal had earmarked the reserve game for Henry to play in, they would have made sure the paperwork was with NY in time for them to complete and return. Looks like they've delayed and as such Henry won't be playing.

If the paperwork was delayed on the Arsenal side, they would have known he was never in contention for the reserve match.

its all water under the bridge - maybe we won't be allowed to play him at all.

    Get over it.

    <doh>

Even in the face of the facts that it's the NYRB who are holding up the deal, you try and twist it because you can't admit you're wrong.

Jayram can't admit that he is wrong, because it doesn't suit his agenda to try and have a dig at Arsenal.

I'm happy to leave it here. I think Jayram has made enough of a fool of himself on this matter. It's been proven that NYRB, not Arsenal's 'shambles' are responsible for the delay in signing Henry.

Agreed <ok> We could specualte all day on the timing, that isn't the reason for the contract delay. There isn't really an argument about the reason why the paperwork hasn't been completed, so best to leave it alone now.

    i think that:
    1) arsenal could have initiated the loan deal earlier.
    2) they still initiated the deal in plenty of time for Henry to be registered for the reserve game today.
    3) NY didn't get the paperwork done in time, and so Henry couldn't play today.

wow...that was some serious hard thinking there!! you're both arguing points that are equally true, and equally valid. lets try thinking without our "you're an idiot" blinkers on in future shall we? you're BOTH detrimental to the board at present.

I'm saying that the argument has been settled. New York Red Bulls are responsible for the delay in the paperwork. No need for an endless back and forth now Jayram, let's leave it there.
