    You make it sound as if he's had plenty of games and starts this season?! He had a handful, against the best clubs in the league, and he goes anonymous because he's playing as an attacking midfielder while nobody's managing to retain possession and they're hoofing so many balls long and not playing through the midfield.

    I'm not saying he'll be a saviour, but he hasn't had a proper opportunity, and despite Pardew's stubbourness about where he wants to play him, he's not employing a gameplan to utilise him there.

    I have butterflies! I really feel like something bad is going to happen. Giggs vs Simpson doesn't worry me but Rooney and Berbatov do. If we play hoofball again which is likely I can see the likes of Santon, Cabaye, Tiote and Ben Arfa getting very restless especially as Pardew promised passing football to Cabaye when he signed.

    I think Pardew was anticipating De Gea to play because of his mistakes from set plays hence why Ameobi plays.
