BBC reporter in Scotland tweeted saying that we had representitives there to watch him at the Edinburgh derby on monday.
Why do we need Kelly on loan? We have Richardson who has been outstanding this season and Butterfield as back up. Driver I dont know much about.
It's just what I've heard. I understand that we are basically covered in that position but he is quite tall! And can play as a centre-half and full-back. As for Driver, he was considered one of the best young players in the world by some (in Scotland, of course )about three years ago, breaking into the Hearts team and lite the SPL up. He's only 22, a winger and very very quick off the mark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQs0wBeLgbU&feature=related
I'd love Matt P to come but i doubt it will happen. Driver was worth over 5mil+ but since his injury he has struggled to get back into the team.
Are you sure you havent made this up: Blackpool manager Ian Holloway is hoping to keep hold of in-form Matt Phillips in the January transfer window. More than 20 scouts were at Bloomfield Road on Monday as the 20-year-old winger scored one goal and created another in the Seasiders' 3-0 win over Middlesbrough. And Holloway is desperate to keep his star man until at least the end of the season. "Hopefully, no-one is going to come in and steal Matt like they did with Charlie Adam, because next summer God knows how much he will be worth," he told the Blackpool Gazette. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7410751/Holloway-s-Phillips-hope
As Lee has been mentioned on the OS we must be pretty hopeful of getting a work permit. Mind you he'd be a bit hard to hide in Southampton. Number of national caps is one deciding factor, especially recent ones, but another factor is that the player has to be one of your highest earners. This is done to protect British players from cheap competition from abroad. I like the look of this guy, with the proviso that he has to settle into Championship football, so keeping fingers firmly crossed.
Kris Commons (Winger) from Celtic apparently http://www.monthehoops.co.uk/showthread.php?t=13169&p=37231#post37231
From the little I've seen of Commons he looks a good technical winger, but is pretty stocky and I reckon he struggles with his weight, so definately isnt the pacy winger we need, reminds me quite a bit of Andy Reid.
Oh ****e just when Lambert shifted the weight to become a lean mean scoring machine we give the skates a reason to continue with the endless " who ate all the pies " gags.
