Talented left sided attacking player, with the ability to turn a game in an instant. He single handedly won 6 points for Spurs at the end of last season. Doesn't seem to be rated by Redknapp (despite buying him twice). Could he be what we need? He wouldn't break the bank, although I'm not sure Spurs would sell him to us.
I think Krancjar has got quality. He'd be cheap because he's not in demand, not because he's crap. That said, he's having a bit of a mare for the spuds tonight .....
I'd rather us not sign anyone than go after an average journeyman. Oxo is a far better option than Krancjar, and won't cost us a penny. Then we could put funds towards a big summer signing.
He was ****e right enough, thought Brom could have got a point at the end only a great save by Freidal kept the lucky win.
Kranjcar is one of those players who usually does a good job when he comes in, (apart from tonight) He won games single handed for the spuds last season. I think he could make a good impact sub. I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him in for somewhere around £2m. That said, I'd rather we signed nobody in Jan if it meant we went for Goezte and Hazard in the summer.
Just a decent player really, nothing special tbh, plus I couldn't stand the humiliation of signing a Spurs reject. He'd be a good squad player, like he is at Spurs, but for the money they'd probably want from us (being their rivals) I doubt it'd be a good move.
this plan could spectacularly backfire. you buy no-one now, miss out on top4, and the big stars don't want to come without Champions League. or...you spend some now, get into the Champions League, and the big stars want to come. if Arsenal don't buy anyone this January, i fear for their top4 place.
We're not in the business of giving you bargains, unfortunately. £2mill? Not a chance, the main reason he hasn't moved yet is that we want £10mill for him. Kranjcar's a good play and I think he'd be great if he was playing regularly again for the right team. He's a bit of a luxury in terms of his work rate but if anyone's got enough energy about them to carry him, it's you guys.
PISKIE - good shout in my opinion, I think he could definitely do a job for Arsenal, he is creative, got a great shot and, with a run of games, would prove to be sale of the century. I think we missed a trick when he went to Spurs, definitely a decent squad player. I see him as a Pires with less wing play. Definitely a good shout there PISKIE
This might actually not be a bad idea, i think that people are saying no because they don't want us to buy a player from spurs, but krankjar is a top quality player and would add class to the squad, if we could get him on the cheap then i would defintately look into it.
If we are loking to pick up PL experienced players on the cheap, I would happily spend a few bob on Dirk Kuyt. Yes he is 31, but I think he has a lot of the attributes we lack up front at this time and for the right price could do a job for us, even if for only 12/18 months.
I think your team would improve alot if you purchased the likes of Niko..a better version of your first team player,Arteta.
