Getting rid of Lampard, Cole and Terry would be a mistake, but I agree that Drogba must go, hopefully now. Malouda, Mikel and Bosingwa as well. Buy some good young players like Xherdan Shaqiri, Jack Rodwell, Mario Gotze (very hopeful) and de Bruyne. Then, some more mature players such as Mountinho, Hulk, Cahill, Godin to get a strong back bone to the team, and then buy a prolific foward sich as Cavani or Higuian.
All players are just suggestions, I am not saying we should buy them all. FFP and all that crap.

My point is, we should just replace who we get rid of with cheap young TALENT who are proud to wear the shirt and play under AVB. Cahill appears to be making a money move, I for one don't want him at Chelsea if that's his attitude. Especially when we've got players like Sam Hutchinson fighting their way back from injury into one of the strongest sides on earth <ok>.

Maybe one big name per season but not several every window <ok>.

Oh ofcourse. I was implying that only one should be take from each group I listed. To be honest, I dont really rate Gary Cahill high enough to be a regular at Chelsea when we have a full defence.

Maybe, but as we've seen a few times the big names aren't always worth the hassle or money <ok>.

I was actually joking as whilst i think the 3 are top class players, I can't see us getting them and the money would be silly.

I'm all for bringing some youth on but spending money is not a problem as such, it's just how it is spent. 90 odd million has been spent on Torres, Lukaku and Luiz in the last 12 months. I dont see 90 million of improvement in our team, if anything we've gone backwards.

We do need to spend to compete and we also need to bring on youth better to have a sustainable long term model. At the moment we aren't doing either particularly well.

As for FFP, we may not even get back in Europe at this rate!!!!!

Sergio Roberto of Barcelona looks like a great youth prospect we should sign him and a more experienced player like Edin Hazard and Milos Krasic. Promote Chalobah, Hutchinson, Bertrand, McEachran, Lucas Piazon and Lukaku to the first XI. Sell Malouda, Mikel, Kalou, Ferreira, Alex.

Then this should be our first XI.

    4-2-3-1

    Cech
    Ivanovic
    Chalobah
    David Luiz
    Bertrand
    Ramires
    Romeu
    Hazard
    Lucas Piazon
    Mata
    Sturridge

Subs: Turnbull, Hutchinson, Van Aanholt, Sergio Roberto, McEachran, Lukaku, Krasic.

Agree with SW6 AND lcooper. Firstly SW6 is right when he says Spuds pull together. Icooper is right when he says we need 2 seriously good players, one midfielder and 1 striker, in my opinion.
Lamps, Terry, Drogba, Makalele were our world class players. Mata, Romeu, Sturridge, Josh, Lukaku may well become the next ones ( along with Bertrand , Hutchinson and a couple of others )
In the meantime, the huge disparity in wages earned and quality of play put in , can only cause discontent.
As an example, not necessarily fact, Mata on alleged £50,000, Lamps on £135,000. Romeu on alleged £45,000, Cole on £135,000.
This is crazy, and we were loopy to extend contracts to over 30's ,without a pay reduction to take account of declining input.
Seems we have learnt our lesson, and Drogba has been denied a long extension on same wages.
Some players are worth the top dosh, and we would have to pay it to get them. But we must even the playing field, get everyone onside,up the passion and go for it.
