It's not me who loves Street Power It's someone used to do few write up's. Got a few today... 6:00 Kemp - Spartilla 7:00 Kemp - Biba Diva Fancy the double too at under 5/1
I saw Quevega 13/8 last night and on the back of a very good week 17 NFLs punting I was considering hammering this, she will be a shorter price than Big Bucks come March...
Oh I remember it was Garboski. Sorry for implicating you in liking a tosh horse Catty. I have a question for you, are you in the loop in regards the Gosden yard? They have a filly that Terry Norman (he of Fallon agent fame) rates very highly as a three year old to watch out for, but I can't remember its name. Have you heard anything?
Morning gents... Bit of a late start to look at the cards but at least we have a few to go at today...
Not sure mate, I was fumbling through Oddschecker looking for the Flys latest price (who is still available at 11/4 despite trading at 3.45 on betfair). I just saw on the summary page she was 13/8 - very very tempted....
Afternoon, people. Quite a fair days racing today. I'll nominate: Heather Royal (2.00 Huntingdon) - what a lovely name for a mare by the way. My regular readers will know how much I think of this one and she should be able to brush these rivals aside this afternoon. After easily winning first time up this term, at Lingfield Park in November, regretably Heather Royal then suffered the misfortune of Andrew Tinkler falling off her at the same venue a fortnight later when going incredibly well. Last time a much more creditable performance ensued as the mare finished a decent 4th behind some top notchers in a Grade 2 at Ascot. Heather Royal should get back to winning ways here prior to a return to Listed/Graded level. Dunraven Prince (3.40 Southwell) – Alderbrook gelding who has gained experience in the Irish pointing field. Alan King is on record as saying that Dunraven Prince is ‘progressing well’ and should have too much in what doesn’t look the strongest bumper ever contested. Let's hope that this one can 'bring the bounty, back to the county'. Good luck to all.
13:30 Huntingdon - Ministry e/w (Best price 11/1 with SkyBet) (Probably got some benefit from fair sort of debut and could go well in this heat)
Re Cheltenham bets ‘The Weekender’ flagged one up today – Mr Nicholls not to have a single winner at 100/1! I’m sure they don’t think it will happen and they describe it as ‘speculative’ but they highlighted that it shouldn’t be anywhere near as large as Big Buck’s is the only 1 that falls into the ‘banker’ category and the price is largely because of that one horse.
We were just having a discussion here in the office about farting. When I was a young lad my dad used to pin me down and fart in my face - he used to find it hilarious Luckily I have not inherited his sense of humour
WF - I had quite a lumpy bet on a Nichols horse called Sleeping Night in the Cheletnham Foxhunters a few years ago, I was fortunate enough to be in a hospitality box that day and was talking to a racing journalist with who we exchanged fancies - he went on to tell me this tale of woe about the horse, how he lost an eye and sometimes doesn't pick fences and veers off if he hears a noise etc, none of which I was aware of and I'd never felt so pessamistic about a bet in my life.........................this horse never touched a twig and won well ! ! !
