I'm very glad we dodged that bullet in the summer. Despite his more recent injuries King has proven this season that he is still twice the player that anyone we could ever sign would be, and Kaboul too has been immense.

I've noticed how quiet Harry is on him a few months on, and I agree with him, I don't see the need for a CB tbh, certainly not him, his form has dropped right off, and certainly not this window. I also think he's been watching Caulker's rapid development, who will end up better than him anyway imo...and much cheaper! :D Cahill is overrated, also imo.

After being dropped and fined for the heinous crime of having a meal with a couple of teammates, what's the betting that Rooney suddenly says he is dissatisfied with things at the Theatre Of Schemes in a press conference after the Newcastle match?

Mainly because, after City and Chelsea, we'd be linked to him the most frequently...

No room for any more MFer's, he's another one you need to afford a free role and does his best work where VdV and Mod play. He's 30 in a couple of months and injury prone, hence tata from Mourinho. Can't see this one, right stature, wrong position for me.

If Kaka leaves Madrid, then I'd expect him to join Chelsea.
    Lampard replacement?

They need to replace their older players with younger players than Kaka, he's 29 and everyone knows Brazilians get fat and lazy around this point in their career.

That said and the fact that he wouldn't fit into our team and would likely cost a lot to sign him on loan. I'd LOVE him to sign for us <ok>

If we were going to pick up a fringe player from Real, it would have to be Higuain.

He's played 24 times this season and he's their vice-captain, Croydon.

He's only started ten of those - he's like Defoe is for us, the occasional starter but mainly off the bench. But with more goals. And can play on his own up front.

We might need to sign Verthongen after all, if Gallas is badly crocked.

Michael Dawson returning will seem like a new signing he has been out for so long.

We need a striker as cover for Ade, not sure who else, much will depend on the injury situation.

Anyone know what the current situation is with Leandro?
Somebody said his agent was hawking him around Russia.

Cahill is now reportedly after 120k a week :emoticon-0104-surpr

I think he has a case of Chelsea wage syndrome <laugh>

Isn't Muller at Bayern? We wouldn't be able to match his wages even if he did want to leave, which I can't see happening.

It's promising that we've been linked to Tomkins this morning he might be a better option than Samba for us; young, English and destined to play at international level.

His agent reaffirms my suspicions that all South American football agents are, in actual fact, pimps.

Yeah he is, and considering his international team mates that play with him, the "name" of Bayern, that they're still playing CL and the Europeans in the Summer I can't see him wanting to leave at the moment although I would love to see him at the Lane.

For me I'd love to see new Striker capable of playing the lone role. The problem I can see with this other than prices in the January "not" sales, is that I wonder how a real marquee signing would affect Ade's temperament? Would it make him feel alienated and redundant and affect his general contribution when required or would it spur him on? I would fear the former and Harry would have to weave some more of his arm around the shoulder magic.

Would also like a new winger; preferably someone who can do a good job on both sides and would take Hoilett in an instant.

With Harry saying Sandro's injury will be a 'long' one and with Scotty out a decent DM might be necessary.
