Would love to see that team play Willy, as I'm one of the 4k or so going. However, I don't think NW will risk so many first team players. I think it will be more like: Cerny Orr Connolly Perone Hill Derry Faurlin Smith Taarabt Campbell Macheda I think he may play Macheda to give him a good run out and he may also play Taarabt, as he's off to Africa after this game! If Adel plays, he could well destroy them!! I've put Faurlin in, as I'm struggling to think who else could play there with Derry, unless he plays a real reserve! Does Barton's ban count for this game?
Barton's ban counts for this game. I'd like to see Andrade & Hewitt given a run out just to see what they might bring to the team

Knowing our luck that team selection would end up putting five past MK Dons... Best thing would be to get the disasters over and done with and lose badly.
If we've taken Macheda on the pretext of actually scoring goals for us then he must start against the Dons, he needs to get a few banged in pretty sharpish

Macheda must surely play! In fact I think the most important thing for us is to build confidence. Way to do that is by putting out about our strongest team, leaving out only those with niggles, or who really need a rest (Ali maybe, who has played every game I think?), score a hatfull of goals, and keep a clean sh*t! There's another week to the Newcastle game so plenty of recovery time for most!

Agree Macheda should play. Hope we field a strong side, but Kenny (because of recent injury), Young, Gabbidon, Ferdinand (same as Kenny), Faurlin and Helguson should be rested.
I consider this line-up too weak up to ensure a morale boosting cup win. Given the break, the regular squad will be stale by the Newcastle game. Mix up the squad a little - would certainly rest Barton, perhaps include Cerny, Hill, Orr, Derry, Smith, Macheda, Bothroyd etc.), but others in the first team squad should also be given the opportunity to perform.
No thanks for a cup run!..rest key players. Hulse,Mackie,Derry,Cerny,etc should start.Macheda will start,but hoping hes not as much a flop as hes been over the past 6 months. 1 goal in 14?.
My line-up would get murdered by MK, which in fact was my point, tongue in cheek My hope is a morale boosting win, agree with your suggestion of mixing up the squad.
