As it says on the tin. Any gossip/potential transfers, keep an eye on the movers and shakers in here. I'll try and link as much paper-talk as I can into here.

Goossens turns down move to the Swans

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11731/7408879/Goossens-snubs-Swansea-bid

West Ham are keen to take versatile Tottenham defender Vedran Corluka on loan for the remainder of the season.
    Full story: The Sun
Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has opened the bidding for Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard with a £1m offer but it will not be enough to secure his signature.
    Full story: Daily Mirror

We should be in for both of these players in my opinion?

Gutted about Goossens - with him and Gylfi as midfield options and Bodde on the way back, our midfield would be awesome. Add in a rejuvenated Orlandi, who looked silky smooth against Villa despite not starting in over a year, and my confidence levels in terms of survival would have been soaring. Whatever, Goossen's loss in my opinion and how nice to be able to say that.

Corluka would be useful and Maynard certainly would. Surely McCarthy's bid of £1 million has to be a bit tongue in cheek. If we do go for Maynard I hope that any deal does not involve Dobbie.

Despite interest from Newcastle, Swansea, and one other un-named Premier club, Brighton Center Half Lewis Dunk is poised for a move to Tottentham. David Pleat has been watching Dunk on behalf of Spurs and has given the nod. Word on the Lane is that a buy from Spurs with a loan back to Brighton for the reaminder of this season is being prepared by Spurs. Spurs offering a sweetner of an additional loanee from the club also, but as yet we haven't heard who that is ? Fee unknown ?

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has his eye on young Swansea City midfielder Joe Allen and after a lengthy scouting assessment the Anfield manager is said to be considering making a move for the Welsh international.
The pint sized 21 year old has been in fine form this term and has managed to adapt well to life in the top tier and shown maturity beyond his years as he helps pulls the strings in the Swansea City midfield. The Carmarthen born youngster has become a pivotal member of Brendan Rogers’ side and he would be loathed to lose such a talented asset but may fear that Allen may be tempted by the thought of a high-profile move to Anfield.
Though Liverpool brought in a number of central midfield options in the summer, including Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson, Messrs Dalglish and director of football Damien Comolli are plotting moves with the long term future of the club in mind and have been scouting youthful talents they feel have the potential to become part of a new generation of talent at the club.
Allen has already racked up over 100 appearances for the Swans and as well as being a part of the side that secured promotion from League One to the Championship the intelligent midfielder was a crucial member of the side that triumphed in the play-offs to make the leap into the Premier League.
Dalglish has scouted Joe Allen and believes the Welshman could be a very useful addition to his Liverpool squad and even though the Swansea City man is tied to a long term contract the Scot will look to make an offer for the central midfielder either in January or more likely next summer.

Rumours from lots of sources saying Pardew is chasing Ash Williams... hope that one isn't true! Doubt he'd go but still, added distractions aren't needed.

QPR are to move for Nedum Onuoha from Man City ... wish we would too ! It would take around 4 million but the guys quality & we need to have an option ready for Caulker's departure at seasons end ... throw in interest in Williams from other teams & a good CB ( can play fullback also ) is a must this window IMO

Pardew will not get Williams for £5 Million, and I doubt we''ll sell Williams for under £10 Million, his value has gone through the roof, and he's plainly our best defender, has a great all round game, and as you all know, we are not a selling club anymore, as Derby, and Bolton found out regarding Bodde. I ask you, why would we jeopardise our premiership status, and another £46 Million next season? Best for Pardew to look elswhere!.................

everyone is up for grabs if the price is right, its like the club spokesman said a couple of weeks ago that teams of our caliber are selling clubs at the end of the day.....im more concerned about Vorm than anyone else, the rest can be replaced but its very hard a get another goalkeeper as good as vorm.....

looked into this the other day by chance. (Was watching the highlights of the PO final and thought "i wonder what Borini is upto") turns out he has been injured for a bit and the date for Roma to activate the transfer clause of him is this month and i read an interview (translated from Italian) from Borini's agent and Roma chairman basically saying they are going to buy him outright so there is only like a minimal percentage chance that this would happen im afraid
