Dalglish is building slowly "a work in progress" our squad is good, look at the players we did not start today, Lucas, Gerrard, Bellamy, Suarez & then the likes of Carra, Kelly etc. Sure we need new signings, but we will get them, we are only in the early phases of a rebuilding plan after the damage H&G and Hodgson etc. Patienceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Not at all. I thought they battled well and that Downing, Carroll and Reina let them down. Their back 4 done were only at fault for goal 2 and that seems to be a set up at set plays sort of thing rather than individual mistakes. But what attack do they have at the end? Downing has produced nothing for them. Clichy was beating Carroll in the air and beyond that they had no goals in their team.
The goals were deserved. Especially the first two. The first was deserved because of appalling goalkeeping from Reina. The second was deserved because of appalling defending by Liverpool (failure to take note of the warning from only a few seconds earlier). The third I will admit is contentious - in the respect that one can understand why it would or would not be given. But then the third goal was immaterial anyway. Liverpool had the best of the possession, but other than Downing's early chance and Kuyt's chance (both which were met with good goalkeeping and defending (unlike Liverpool's reaction in regards to City's first two goals)), you never actually created anything that worried City. So don't give anyone this crap about goals being undeserved. With an error from your keeper like the one he did, and with the appalling defending from the corner, you deserved to get nothing from the game. And nothing from the game was exactly that you got.
Ironically, I think he was probably wrong! He made 1 good run, for the majority of it we were hit by Aguero, Silva, Dzecko and Milner. Barry and Toure weren't any better than Spearing imo.
The ref (Mike Jones) in lasts night game was 1 of the worest refs I have seen in the prem this year. How Charlie Adams stayed on the pitch i just don't know, and yet Gareth Barry gets sent of for to inocuious challenges. It still goses to prove that Liverpool are still getting all the decisions going there way. According to Graeme Poll in todays Daily Mail, Skirtle should have recieved a 2nd yellow for that foul on Yaya in the box.
Yeah, when he hadn't had a first yellow card. Was it a yellow card challenge? Yes, never a red though.
Yes you do stand a chance of beating us over 2 legs, if the ref gives you all the decisions like the ref Mike Jones last night. He failed twice to book Adams for cynical tackles yet books Barry for inocuous challenges. Fails to follow the rules which were handed to all refs at the start of the season, "that if a players hand is above waist hight and the ball strikes the hand a penalty must be the result". Therefore Mike jones failed to give the prpper decision which was a penalty and a booking for Skirtle. Failed again to complete his decision when giving City that penalty, if Toure was through on goal then as well as giving the penalty Skirtle should have recieved a straight red card, for a professional foul. Just hope the F.A. take this ref to task and demote him for the rest of the season, perhaps if they did this he might well learn his lesson, and that he has to be fair with his decisions and be biased towards a certain club.
Barry's red card was harsh though, but the penalty makes up for it as you can clearly see it was a blatant dive. Dunno why he's banging on about things going our way... it's quite the opposit actually
Because he's a Man City fan. He doesn't know anything but complaining about things going against them. Now they are actually winning they don't know what to do, so they still go on about the things that go against them.
First of all, it's ADAM, no s. And SKRTLE, no I. And if you think that was a referee showing bias towards us, you can't have watched many matches.
