Gallas took ages to go off, Livermore and YK's blood injuries, plus 4 substitutions...perhaps?? I wasn't surprised really.

Gallas took a while, but the Livermore and Kaboul injuries were dealt with while the game carried on.
As you rightly point out, there were less second-half substitutions than normal, as both sides made one in the first half.

    Seemed excessive, to me.
    Doesn't matter now, I guess.

Thats right, probably was a minute more than it should, but no point dwelling on that, or anything else for that matter, no PL for a week now. Just got to wait and see if Gallas and Sandro are just knocks, the latter looked bad though, couldn;t work out if he was holding a hamstring or back of the knee, he walked off which is something. Livermore will be ok, might look like the elephant man for a bit thats all.

Wonder if we'll have anyone new in for Cheltenham or Everton?
Lennon, Dawson, Huddlestone and/or King might be back, which would be a start.

i think we should have kept Andros Townsend...we dont seem to be stretching teams too much since the departure of lennon and Bale deciding hes a central midfielder for large chunks of the last few games...for me that is our best tactic..2 blistering wingers and full backs.

I know there are a lot of Gio haters on here, but is it time we gave him another chance while Aaron is out? He is the closest thing we have in the squad to Lennon now, and playing VdV on the right just isn't working, in my opinion.

Lennon will be back next game.

I'd rather play with 10 men than that twat, couldn't even impose himself on Shamrock Rovers.

Need to save Dawson/King for Everton. Cheltenham should be something like Cudicini, Rose, Corluka, Bassong Livermore, Kranjcar, Pienaar, Johnny Two-Saints, Falque, Pav and JD. Perhaps give the Hudd 30 minutes at the end.

hes not exactly given the best of opportunities to shine...only cup matches with mostly second string team mates around him.....i think he has enough in him to outdo most full backs....i think he lacks fighting qualities however and that is his downfall

I wouldn't go that far: Cudicini; Corluka, Bassong, Kaboul, Rose; Kranjcar, Carroll, Sandro, Pienaar; Defoe, Coulibaly

Pav and GDS likely to be off, so have them as options on the bench

Sandro will surely be out, if he has damaged his hamstring.

Good win for you tonight lads, missed a bit of flair without Parker but you managed to grind out the win, well done. R.I.P to the Spurs fan that died tonight aswell, shocking news and condolences to the family.

If Dawson's fit, then surely this is the ideal game to play him in?
He built up a decent partnership with Bassong when we finished 4th and Corluka was part of that defence, too.

Cudicini; Corluka, Dawson, Bassong, Rose; Lennon, Huddlestone, Livermore, Kranjcar; Pavlyuchenko, Defoe, perhaps?

Bit surprised it's not been major news, only come to light as of 20minutes ago though well that's when i saw it. Apparently he had a heart-attack at the game in the West upper tier stand. Saw a lot of people talking about it on twitter and facebook ( r.i.p messages ) also a few spurs fans at the game posted about it on the ja606 forum
