If they beat Oldham in the FA Cup, Suarez can play against us (by my arithmetic) Did Pool bottle it against City to concentrate on us?
Their run of games once he returns (assuming the win against Oldham) is: Spurs, Man Utd, Everton, Arsenal, then away at Sunderland, which now looks a tough test.
Which begs the question as to whether Suarez has performed against Arsenal or MUPLC? He certainly hasn't both times we played them.
I doubt its that sinister, putting a neutral head on, he wasn't getting away with it, so may aswell bite the bulllet and the games out the way now rather than him missing the business end of the season.
It's fair enough, they probably view us (rightly) as one of the teams they are competing with for CL/EL places. They probably think City are away and gone. However, not sure you can miss 8 games and then go straight back into the team, so we probably won't face him from the start and if we do, he's bound to be rusty.
He's trying to imply sinister forces at the FA won't let him defend the rights of Luis Suarez to be racist to whoever he wants...
Fair comments NSS, as you say it may just be as it is, with Pool giving no thought to the fixture list, then again ........
Yes,I knew that, but would have been a bit stupid to not start his ban now if Pool are not going to appeal. It would have made what already is a PR disaster into a complete farce and could have brought even more questions about Liverpool's stand in defending him. It's Liverpool realising that they had nothing left to gain and everything to lose.
true we are only 8 points ahead with a game in hand and judging from Liverpool's exploits this season...and ours...then it is quite conceivable that they might catch us
Liverpool are a receding threat to us this season, but I'd rather not face a Liverpool team at Anfield with Suarez (and Gerrard) in it.
Not a chance we will catch you. Spurs will probably **** up a few games from now on in, but we are a dead cert to **** up more. The only chance we have of catching you is if we beat you at Anfield (which seems unlikely anyway), even then...very unlikely.
He scored against Arsenal in the second game of the season. He was great against United the last time out, and last season he did this:
Suarez is absolute quality as a player, and it's a worry to me, that Pool 'chose' to play him against us rather than City.
