Sad to see Danny go to be honest as I always thought he gave 100% when he came on and could nab the odd goal for us just like he did in FC Thun.

All the best Danny you have been a good servant to the club and may you do well at Leeds too -

Now then anyone want Diao or Sidibe?

Leeds have signed the on-loan Danny Pugh on a permanent two-and-a-half year deal from Stoke.

The 29-year-old, who signs for an undisclosed fee, was at Leeds from 2004 until 2006 and has made 17 appearances this season while on loan.

Manager Simon Grayson told the club website: "Danny is a versatile player and is a good addition to the squad.

"He can play in a few positions, he has shown people what he is about and it's good to have him on a permanent basis."

Pugh joined Leeds on loan in September with a view to a permanent deal.

He began his career at Manchester United but made just seven appearances there before moving to Leeds as part of the deal that saw Alan Smith move in the opposite direction.

He scored six goals in his time at Elland Road but moved to Preston in the summer of 2006 after finding appearances limited in his second season.

He joined Stoke two years later, helping them win promotion to the Premier League.

Shame really, but if our squad is to move forward then players like him will have to move on, just a shame 6 or 7 or players havent left before him?

Too right! I rate Danny ability wise way above some whe are still here? Other player's should have left before Danny Pugh. An honest lad, never let us down and good luck to Danny.
I really hope he does well for Leeds Utd!

He's been average so far, but looks a lot better when played in his proper position in central midfield. Been used at left back and left mid mostly, I guess he's our utlilty player. Definitely a good, honest lad though, and he'll no doubt be earning less here than he was at Stoke so it shows he wants football more than he wants to sit on a bench and leech wages.

Thanks for the update Leeds. He always did play better in midfield mate and was quite weak at left back for us but as you rightly state he just wants to be playing and will always give total commitment whatever role is asked of him. he knows where the net is too if Grayson plays him in that role. I could never understand why he was not named in our 25 man squad when lesser players were. i thought he would of been handy for us even if in a European squad. After all it was his goal in Switzerland that helped to take us through. All the best to him anyway mate and I hope he comes good for you.

I don't blame Frodo for wanting to leave. He would've been a decent squad player for us but it just shows what a pro he is that he'd rather play most games than being backup.
