ok cheers for both.

after the leicester game my team seem to be doing better. i am beat bight on 1-0 and dominating the game.

 

When playing two strikers for me it has to be one complete striker and one target man who is the player who has the most potential.
I play both Centre backs as defend and the full backs as Automatics.

Here is my full team line up, I recommend it but if you don't have players with much pace you can change it a bit

DC- Centre Back (Defend)

DR- Full Back (Automatic)
LM- Wide Midfielder (Support)
CM- Central Midfield (Automatic)
RM- Wide Midfielder (Support)
AMC- Advanced Playmaker (Attack)
STCL- Complete Striker (Attack)
STCR- Target Man (Attack)

There are a couple of reasons I wouldn't feel comfortable using that strategy.

1) You only have one man in central midfield. Your AMC has no defensive duties and your CM has a lot of work on his hands. Why not make the CM a DMC and play a diamond? Or at least make him a ball-winning midfielder? Alternatively I'd play the more conventional 4-3-1-2 with no wingers and 3 CMs.

2) There are very few players who can pull off the complete forward role. It's basically an advanced forward, deep lying forward and target man all in one.

 

Also why should the target man be the one who has the most potential? A target man should just be a big lump who can head it.

 

It has worked the best, I used to play 4-1-2-1-2 and it is not as good, we are very good defensively and we get a lot of goals, top of the league, but I know it won't suit every team as you have to have the correct players, 1 who can get goals and also a very strong defence.

 

I don't really have tall players, My target man is only 171 cm and the other striker is 179 cm, we play the ball on the ground as it suits my players, we can get goals from headers as the midfielders get it on the head of my captain, the one who is 179 cm, but my target man is top scorer so it works well, I did consider that the target man should be the tall one.

Has anyone had problems with the "add/remove leagues" feature? Since I started the game, I've used it to add the Spanish, Italian, German and French leagues and for some reason the game has failed to generate fixtures for the Italian Cup and the French Coupe de la Ligue. I just looked back at my fixtures and realised I hadn't played any cup games in two seasons! I'm in 2023 now and the last Italian Cup was held in 2017.

 

Yep I've had whole leagues not work, tried adding the brazil league. It told me it would me added over a year ago now and it still hasn't worked. When I try to delete and re add it it says the same date as before.

 

I regretted signing Emnes. Was not good enough for the prem.

In my save I've just played Atletico Madrid in the first knockout roubd of the EURO Cup. The first leg, at home, i drew 2-2 having been 2-0 up, and the second I needed to score 2 or more away goals and not get beat. I was 3-2 down and in the 90th minute Jay Rodriguez, my first buy on the game, popped up with a solo run and finish. So yeah, through on away goals .

My squad atm, in order of preference for position, is:

ST: Wilfried, Rodriguez, Achahbar, Hickling (regen), Hill (regen), Sharp

RM/RW: Gangloff (regen), Biabiany, Snodgrass

CM: Reale, Schneiderlin, McEachran, Tenconi

LM/LW: Reus, Stanislas, Lallana, Biabiany

RB: Naughton, Lupi (regen), Caddis

CB: Savic, Nordtveit, Coloccini, Cathcart

LB: Shaw, Lupi, Tippings (regen)

GK: ter Stegen, Lewis

Currently 4th in PL and up against Blackburn in the semis of the FA Cup, having beaten Man u 3-2, also awaiting the EURO draw.

Oh, and Adkins is the manager of Scunthorpe.

 

After searching through SI forums for about 15 minutes, I found out that this issue has supposedly been fixed in the most recent update. Unfortunately I started this game before the update so there is nothing I can do. I plan to remove the affected leagues and move to a different one.

Yeah i've heard from my brother that the update makes the game even worse. It has some sort of crash issue when you are playing the games.

 

In my save Adkins is poopey manager they are 5th in the 1st division.

 

What makes it crash? Do they even test these games before they release them?

 

Haven't a clue all i know is since he has updated it. Every match he plays crashes, he had to delete the update to be able to play it again. So now has the league problem like we do again. But at least he can play it now.

 

Any one else brought Munian from Athletic?

 

I am signing Marvin Sordell, he seems to be a good player.

 

Never bought him because I've never been at a club with that kind of money. Don't think I've ever seen him leave Athletic actually.

 

Try being Athletic, lovely challenge that.
