The 'Pool delusion continues

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, Jan 3, 2012.

  1. An anonymous poster posted the following twitter on the BBC website, minutes before £ity went ahead:-

"If Liverpool are still in it at the 60min mark - and that's a big if - they have got the stronger bench to go on and win it."

    <doh>

That is all I can say.

Delusion doesn't even come close to describing these idiots. When will they ever learn?

    Will they ever learn?

Erm... Didn't you lose 5-1 to City HIAG?

Can't see how you can take the piss out of our result if your result against City was worse...

Players that didn't feature against City: Parker, King, Walker, Adebayor - plus Lennon went off with a groin strain early in the second half

Remind me, how many of your first-choice players were missing? Eleven, was it?

There's also the minor fact we were facing eleven players for 90 minutes...

No Lucas. No Suarez. Gerrard only on the field for 30 minutes.

We both didn't have first-team players available for the City game and we've both been beaten comfortably in that game.

Fully aware of our positions in the table. You are 3rd and Liverpool are 6th.

Just saying that you seem to be taking the piss out of our result against City when you didn't do much better against them.

The scoreline wasn't reflective of the performance in ours - the fact we had a central midfield of Modric and Kranjcar (due to injuriesto, or the fact we hadn't signed, any midfielder who can tackle at the time) meant they had the run of midfield, but it wasn't as one-sided as the scoreline suggests.

If we look at the way the person who texted in uses the word 'Liverpool' instead of 'we' I think we can confirm that the texter who sent this text in is not a Liverpool fan.

If we again look at the way he uses the phrase 'Don't worry Liverpool' that says to me that he again isn't a Liverpool fan. And I don't think Faizal is being serious anyway...

So where is the delusion from Liverpool fans in this thread?

With Gerrard on and against 10 men you still conceded.

    Lots of double posts tonight!

Ah right, I wasn't aware that them two hadn't been signed! To be fair, since your two heavy losses to the Manchester clubs in the first two games of the season, you've looked very good.

And Gerrard was brought on for the final 30 minutes to continue to build up his match fitness. Sensible thing to do in my opinion.
