Pepe really has to put his hand up and admit he could have done far better tonight. I don't know if it's the cold drizzle, but he has not read the game at all well, and could have done much better with all three goals. Not saying it is all his fault, just obvious, he's not at his best.

I think it is wrong to say that we just need another striker. It is really an issue that what players we do have don't really have any creativity or the desire to whip things in first time. I am fondly remembering the Houllier and Rafa days when we never had any wingers, and no width, because now when we play like that, the defenders just cut out any pass that comes in from the wing, since they are all too short, slow and direction-less. Talk about optimistic crossing.
Bad game but no team has had anything at City this season. We played well at times and their first was a mistake and last was not a pen. Nothing we can do about it now, on to the next game we also need to learn from this game if we want to go the CC final. Heads up reds.
