Would you take Robbie Keane?

  1. Yes - we don't have anybody better

  2. No - we have a clutch of Ameobis, McLoven and Leon 'Shottingham' Best

  3. No - Steve Harper used to be a striker...

I would rather give the chance to one of our youngsters in the reserve team, we will suck upfront without Ba anyway so may as well give someone a chance to prove themselves.

Ba scored 7 goals in 12 appearances with West Ham "not making any chances".
Keane has flattered to deceive and looks a shadow of his former self following the Liverpool debacle.

As a free agent, or on a 2 month loan yes. Otherwise he can stay wherever he is ...

Keane scored 2 in 9. That same season Lovenkrands scored 6 in 25. We created more than West Ham, and they have a similar goals/games ratio.

Ba creates his own chances, he showed that against Liverpool, we did **** all and if it wasnt for Skrtel he would have scored a beautiful goal.

I'm not saying Keane is good, or that I want him here permanently, but for 2 months whilst Ba is away, I'd rather see him on the teamsheet than Lovenkrands.

No chance. Hasn't he been rotting in the reserves all season? I'd rather give one of our kids a chance.

A two month loan to cover the loss of Ba but ONLY if we signed a good quality striker too.

    New Striker + Best/Keane
    Ameobi Lovenkrands

I wouldn't be over the moon with him for sure but he must still have something in him...

Lovenkrands can't even make the bench at the minute though so it wouldn't matter anyway and I'd rather see Edmundsson or Sammy than a past-it journyman Irishman who's only looking for his last payday after he got found wanting at Liverpool.
I will not budge on this. Keane is not good enough for us. Neither is Lovenkrands, no disputing that. The difference is Lovenkrands is being linked with a move away.

I would much prefer Keane to just playing random youngsters and hoping that they're ready. Ranger/Sammy are two of the highest up the pecking order from the youth/reserve teams and no way would they score as many as Keane in a 2 month spell.

The blokes only 31 and is still playing at the top level internationally.

Yes, he's lost a yard of pace, but in the same way that I think Henry will do well back at Arsenal... I think Keane would fit into our system. We create a lot of chances when we don't punt the ball up, and he is worth a gamble on a 2 month loan. He can still finish and he is hardworking; I'd prefer him to any of the strikers we have when Ba leaves. (Sorry Leon).

His wages won't be too bad either. It's only a loan, give the lad a chance I say!! (If we do sign him) ;)

    This. It's so bloody annoying.

If I'm honest though, I wouldn't mind him on loan. I don't particularly like him and he is clearly past his best, but he could come in handy and is better than the likes of Lover and Shola.

Was better than Shola and Lover but over the top now and a bad influence.

He'll want a lot more than he's worth too.

    It's a no from me.

Crikey no, he'd be on high wages in the MLS and for 2 months wouldn't be worth it.
