Hi guys. I won't be around much as my laptop has packed up and until I have the money to get it sorted i am stuck on the iPod. I will be popping in when I can though but posts will be minimal.

It could not have picked a worse time, with an exam a week away and all my notes being on it. Oh wel, it could be worse.

It is Nicolas Sarkozy and Angela Merkel trying to blow the British problem away.

Not good, especially with your exam coming up? Do you still have access to a computer at home, or was the laptop your only access outside of uni?

I did not but they are on the uni Vle so if I could get on I could copy them over.

I can't do anything with it mate, it won't start up at all, it's just a blue screen of death

My laptop was my only access, we threw out the old of cos we all have our laptops now.

Dan try taking your hard-drive out and putting it back in again, could just be a faulty contact.

Otherwise get a usb stick and download Ubuntu, it's a free operating system that you can install or just run off the stick. It'll allow you to access your files (unless your hard-drive is corrupted). <ok>

afternoon all, thanks for the caramel latte Ak :)

Woooah..the weather this morning was fun to work in...though three roads were blocked with fallen trees, but that was a good excuse to practice turn in the road manouvres lol.

Went into Santander to sort out the kids accounts coz they weren't paying anything, and came out with 4 new accounts and a new credit card...sucker? moi?

I was going to play table tennis tonight but i've decided to have an evening in...i feel a cold on the way and i could well do without it...so i'm going to sit and sip lemsip and eat chilli con carne, that should clear the ol' nasal passages ;)

Meanwhile, time to go and collect mini Hornette...back in a bit!

So - who do we want to win tonight, Millwall or Brizzle?

Much as I'd like Brizzle to win, for Red's sake, a defeat would keep them out of (h)arms reach of us. :)

Sad news about Darlington FC - administration for the third time in nine years. Looks like their time may be up. :(

Hope they escape again but looks bleak , FA and FL dont care about a club going under though ,yet it is testament in a way to their own ineptitudes!

My ex-wife took my sons to France for Xmas and New Year on 17th Dec and in the 2 weeks leading up to that the weather here had been terrible. It calmed down for the week between them going and me leaving for Watford. They came back yesterday, and you can guess the rest - my ex-wife has a lot to answer for

Talking of her, I was looking at the transport for eldest and I for Posh and I'd come to the conclusion that it was boat out, flight back. Had booked our flights, looked at my e-mails to check that the booking confirmation had come through and there was an e-mail from eldest stating that as the game was in the run-up to his exams, my ex has told him that he'd have to take his books with him and so he's decided not to go. It's not a problem, apart from the lousy timing so I'll have to cancel his booking. Does mean that I can take Fri pm off and fly both ways.
