Couldn't be more right! Why they are our main rivals I don't know, they have got Nigel now lets move on and forget about it
The Leeds hating for me goes back to the late 60s/early 70s when we were doing relatively well in Div 2 yet still in Cottingham where I lived you would see plenty of people in Leeds scarves etc. And they were such a dirty team then ...
I,m afraid having to use Tony Warner as a user name just shows how much of a loser you are could you not find anybody better.
Talking about the PAST again. Champions of Europe aswell? Marching on together, not really marched anywhere of note as a club for a long, long, long time now have you???? Here and now is what matters, as a club your probably a little bit smaller than us and a little bit less attractive to potential players and investors.
No, I consider Tony Warner to be one of the all time greats. How could anybody not? Also, "I,m"? Really?
I liked TWF take on the 'Boro thaaang. OK its not to be taken seriously , but id say both clubs have a similar outlook , Boro wave their fist at Sunderland n Newcastle but those clubs just look to each other for their verbal hostilities. the rivalry could only be fought on the lines of "Nobody we hate , hates us back" Its a bit like Us and Leeds really . We dont have a rival that regards us equally the same (apart from the Hull whites)
Tell me how many years you've spent in the third tier?? We've only spent one. If you want to talk about honours between the two clubs you'd lose... now what was it like the last time you played Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Cup?? Can't remember that one.
Our isolated location means that we don't have many obvious rivals, historically it was Grimsby, but there's been no fishing for thirty years, so you've got to be as old as me to remember that rivalry. Over the years, there's also been Lincoln, York, Scunny, both Sheffield clubs, Donny and Leeds, but in recent times it's been more about fall outs than location, so it's been Newcastle, Sunderland, Arsenal and now Leicester. To make sure you don't miss any of our rivals, it's probably best to hate everyone, unless something happens to create a bond, as we seem to have developed with Brizzle and possibly also Saints this season.
Hull City & Leeds United are the top 2 Yorkshire clubs at the present time, it's nicely East vs West Yorks too.. there's no real "hate" from me, just a nice bit of rivalry.. although I find some of their fans deluded, arrogant and sometimes violent.. I am beginning to dislike Burnley a little now though.. 6 straight defeats vs them..
Yeah I hate Leeds United and every single Leeds United fan...until I get to their nightclubs and then I love everyone in Leeds...really good house music clubs up there, lots of good dancefloors
'nuff said. while you are at it can you wind up Accrington Stanley as well? the traditional rivals - or so it seemed - were the smoggies and the blunts. we were in the same division for several seasons in a row and the fixtures with those two always had an extra edge (albeit one that needed sharpening in the Sheffield case). on one level Barnsley and Lincoln have been our two biggest rivals down the years, they are the two teams that we have played most frequently.
