I always liked him and never felt he got to shine because of how he was used. Mind you I've just realised I pretty much like anyone who pulls a Sunderland strip on and tend to see the best in them. 10 million sound too good to be true.
If he goes he goes not sure why Arsenal are interested mind and, that's taking nothing away from Richardson. He has improved 10 fold under MON so there is probably more to this than meets the eye.

I think Wenger is far too shrewd of a manager to spend £10mill on Richardson. Unless he's went mental.
