How on earth can you leave a game like that before the final whistle, it defies belief.
No public transport to catch and the only traffic to worry about is match traffic, and they still leave in their droves, what on earth is so urgent that you have to leave the game early?
You people got exactly what you deserved on Sunday because you are a disgrace to the club, you should be ashamed to call yourselves Sunderland supporters.

Exactly that mate. I'm not a fan of people leaving early. I don't understand why they do it but 'you are a disgrace to the club, you should be ashamed to call yourselves Sunderland supporters.'

What a ****ing idiotic thing to say. They made the effort. Put money into the club. Got the attendance up. spurred the team on. If they want to cheer the team on for 85 minutes so be it. There were still a hell of a lot of fans chanting and on the edge of their seats in injury time.

Would you prefer it if they watched it down the pub like others and nothing went towards the club and for the 85 minutes the crowd was smaller? I don't remember the game being sold out so it's hardly as if they took the place of someone who wanted to watch for 90+ minutes.

Pipe down. They're strange I admit. They're not a disgrace and they shouldn't be ashamed. They supported their club financially and vocally. Let them live their life man.

I'm sure people who leave early realise the risks and pay good money for the privilege.
To call them a disgrace is idiotic at best.

You don't know their situations so don't be so ****ing judgemental. I'm sure there are some idiots who leave early for no good reason but to generalise the lot of them is stupid.

You know what those people help us pay MON's wages, sign class players, move into a massive stadium. They're a ****ing credit if a little half witted for leaving and missing that goal.

It's a disgrace and he should be ashamed for giving them such grief.

Why can't people just be tolerant?

When we played at Roker my dad used to leave 5 minutes early, We lived in Blyth and if we stayed to the end, we would be sitting in traffic for an hour along the coast road (or the other way towards the tunnel, I was small at the time so cant remember exactly) if we left a couple of minutes before we would be home in 30 minutes.

so thats why i think a lot leave early as they dont live in Sunderland, but further away, tbh i used to hate leaving early, quite a few times we would be walking away from the stadium and a massive cheer would go up, BOLLOCKS missed a goal. but as my dad had the car and i was only about 11 at the time, I couldnt do much else.

I can understand leaving early if you have some where to go and we are wining by 2 goals or we are two down, but when the game is in the balance It just does not make sense. The would point of going to the game is for the exitment so why risk missing the key goal, especially at the moment when we dont win games until the 88th minute!

People may have no choice in when they leave.
When my Dad was ill I used to leave at half-time to go and see him. Didn't want to but had to.

I still say that they are a disgrace, and so are you Charlie Hurley for defending them, have you any idea how bad it looks on the telly when droves of so-called supporters are streaming out 10 minutes from the end, it's bad enough looking at the empty seats in the South stand without having these lot ruining the clubs image, Steve Bruce was appalled at it, but that was understandable because of the standard of play , and god knows what O'Neill and Quinny must be thinking, what have we got to do to please these people comes to mind.

I'd love to tell you I respect your opinion but I really don't.

    I think you're a ****ing idiot.

I'm happy to be a disgrace who shows support and tolerance for fellow Sunderland supporters personal circumstances.

No, I've no idea what it looks like on tele because I'm in the stadium you silly bastard... You been watching lot's of the games on tele have you? Yeah mate, you call me a disgrace.

I was suprised when I saw people leaving, but most of those around me always leave 5mins from the end. I'm guessing like many that they have a lengthy journey home and already feel pissed off about missing the goal. I would rather have a full stadium for 85 mins than an empty one for 90 tho.

In fairness tho ur posts are normally pretty decent fella.
