Well after his sending off it looks like Barton and Rat face Warnock won't be appealing the red card so he will miss QPR's visit to SJP on the 15th Jan.

Personally not bothered that he misses out, since Ex players have a habit of coming back to bite you on the backside.

The sending off does seem a bit harsh as there was minimal conatact but after Barton came out after getting Gervinho sent off on the first day of the season for what looked like very little contact and even said he played it up a bit. It seems it's a case of what comes around goes around.

Always liked him as a player for his commitment but hated his stupid comment and think him and Rat face could well be in trouble for their after match comments. would serve them right TBH.

Well he made himself look a complete hypocrit after the Gervinho incident.

May feel hard done by, but from what I've seen he leaned his head into the lad who didn't over react unlike Barton did against Gervinho.

And as for Warnock he is a joke of a manager, blames everyone except himself and the team.

Always good to know that ex-players won't be facing us.

Has Barton made a philosophical tweet about it yet?

I would appeal, there was nothing in it at all. Very harsh sending off.

From WArnock comments which are reported in the shields gazette they won't be:

Warnock admitted he was in two minds about whether to take the case up with the Football Association’s disciplinary panel, with Barton set for an automatic three-match ban.

“I have not got any confidence in the appeals procedure,” he said.

“From every (angle) I have seen, I don’t see a headbutt, but I am not optimistic.”

Warnock added: “Joey could have avoided the situation, but it doesn’t warrant the reaction from Johnson.”

Still looks like he leaned his head in which can be classed as intent, minmal contact but he didn't overreact like Barton did against Gervinho. So getting a tast of his own medicine IMO.

This is a clear sign that deep down Warnock knows its a sending off, everyone in the country knew that Milijas was wrongly sent off at Arsenal last week and that the red card wouldn't get overturned still didn't stop McCarthy appealing it.

    They have appealed <ok>

To be fair I'd expect them to win the appeal because Barton did nothing and the Norwich player did con the officials. Not that I particularly like defending Barton because he is a trouble maker but he did nothing wrong and it was nothing like the Gervinho incident as Gervinho raised a his hand which is an offence whereas Barton did nothing to the Norwich player. Also it's bizarre because the officials didn't actually stop the game and you have to award a red card you can't play on and then come back to give it. In order to give a yellow card you have to stop the game immediately after the offence takes place. Also the linesmen has to flag to award anything and he didn't. When the ref eventually stopped the game it was for a foul on a QPR player aswell after the Barton incident had already taken place. The officials got it horribly wrong and should be never allowed where near a premier league game again.

Have you seen Bartons tweets <laugh> He's talking about suing the referee and the Norwich player <laugh> He's just going to make the situation worse for himself.

Heads in the guys face, card stands for me. Deserves it anyway for his and Warnocks comments, targetting the Norwich player as a cheat despite him not tumbling to the floor like a certain Joseph Barton. Karma I say.

The other guy had his head in Bartons face as well?

Barton got screwed by the player and ref, and the FA should rescind the red.

So in that case Gervinho should have appealed his sending off the law states if you put your head into another player then it's a red card. Barton and Warnock are just making twats of themselves and yet again people are falling for their pathetic bullshit. If Barton had done that and was playing for us I would have been embarrassed with his attitude and his double standards.
