First of all, I think de Gea is a young goalkeeper who has bags of potential, but isn't currently ready to step in between the sticks. Perhaps he should give way to Lindegaard who has shone whenever given the opportunity to do so. I mean, with our current we should be making sure that we do not concede sloppy goals due to goalkeeping errors.

One of the reasons I think Fergie hasn't started Lindegaard is due to the hype and price tag that de Gea has. Due to Lindegaard's impressive performances, here is why feel should become our number one goalkeeper:

Since the day Lindegaard joined us, he has been one the most consistent performers at the club. That has continued into this season with his five match clean-sheet streak. In fact, Lindegaard has only conceded two goals in his two years at United. I know this may sound daft, but that is currently the longest current streak in the history of the PL.

Lindegaard is currently 27 years old. For the majority of goalkeepers, that means they have yet to fulfill their potential. Lindegaard is showing us that his potential is something that warrants to be watched very carefully throughout this and many years to come. In my opinion, he has the ability to prosper, therefore we cannot let such a young keeper destruct our standard and records.

This season was, without a doubt, going to be the most difficult season for de Gea. He's only 21 years of age and has recently moved to a country after spending his entire life in Spain. He has struggled during important times, yet de Gea will rebound and prove the doubters wrong. However, it will not happen this season or anytime soon.

That time will probably occur sometime down the road, which means Andres should be our primary starter until de Gea appears to be the star that we all know he is capable of becoming. On the other hand, Lindegaard has only continued to get better, but will have to improve in other facets in his game if he wants to turn into a world-class keeper and become United's number one.

I said at the start of the season that Lindegaard should be the number 1. He has impressed me every time I have seen him and he should be rewarded for that. De Gea is still a good keeper but is just too inexperienced, he should still get game time but Lindegaard should be number 1.

I remember being taunted at the start of the season because I said Lindegaard should be our number one and de Gea isn't as good as we all make him out to be.

Given some of his saves against Liverpool some argue that he should be No1.

Also I'm glad Reina is your No1 following some of his quality performances this season.

Didn't Schmeichel says that Lindegaard was rubbish when we signed him? Odd.

Schmeichel said he didn't think Anders was ready to be the number 1 at United, not that he was rubbish. It may have been meant in more of a mental capacity.

Now yes. In the future that remains to be seen. Funny how De Gea for all his mistakes is closer now to a English title and winners medal, than Reina will ever be.

Anyone watching the Arsenal Fulham game? Szcezney made some good saves and made a shocker for Fulham's goal. De Gea had a big CB pressuring him, Szcezney had so much more space and made a hash of the cross. The second goal, could be said he could have done better, got beaten at his near post, granted it was in the corner but he barely moved.

I'm not saying he's a bad keeper, but the way he won't be lambasted in comparison to De Gea is unbelievable. He's made mistakes as well as good saves, sound familiar?

Bear in mind that Lindegaard hasn't played in any big games. If SAF had doubts about De Gea, surely Lindegaard would have been playing? I'm not saying Lindegaard isn't good, just that he hasn't has to be at the top of his game in the matches he's played.

I make an appearance whenever we lose in order to point out and raise awareness on what needs to be done. Whereas, when we win, what point have I got to make?

A 17m keeper should be going straight in, he was bought to be No 1 now not in 5 years

Nice way of putting the keeper is not currently good enoug, potential, sounds like a gooner excuse, potentially he could be a massive flop of a signing, good shot stopper, looks completely lost in his area, needs protection from the likes of Smalling Vidic and Ferdinand. He ain't gonna get any taller or much bigger either.

Some keeprs just won't suit the english game. Time will tell
