What about Chalobah for the first XI? He looks like a class act for centre back. Hutchinson, Bosingwa, Ivanovic, David Luiz, Terry, Chalobah, Cole, Bertrand. That is a good defense, a lot of defensive options to choose from.

Have you seen our bench today?

Turnbull, Ferriera, Lukaku, McEachran, Hutchinson, Bertrand, Chalobah.

Definitely going to see at least two youngsters.

Only just seen it after I posted this thread. Good to see Chalobah on the bench. Would be nice to see him and Hutchinson come on.

Hopefully, our manager gets all the youngsters to sit on the bench and see how not to do it. They NEVER get on, but it looks to outsiders as if someone is interested in the kids. Josh with 10 minutes ???? Takes 5 to warm up, total waste of time, it compromises our chances of winning. Wolves score as soon as Josh comes on, or rather Mata goes off. Disruptive, dumb call by AVB.
Just like Ancellotti,Just like the Brazillian twat.
Chelsea just don't have any faith in their youngsters.
    Total , absolute madness.
Josh could embarrass Lampard right now. Quicker, more clever. Lamps wins hands down on experience, but how do you get experience if you never play ?? Catch 22 personified.
Sturidge makes Drogba look like an old age pensioner.
Our owner is obsessed with players who come with "labels". Like some cheap Russian hooker, if the Armani, Chanel, Dolce Gabanna, Burberry label isn't showing, he thinks they can't be any good. For "label" read £30,000,000 price tag.
The real problem is we've got half a dozen +32yr old has beens with 2 year contracts and £150,000 pw pay packets.
They all need to be cleared out, but no one wants them at those prices, even with zero transfer fees, so we're stuck with them.
The real cost is to pay them off and lose them, not the cost of replacements.
Man City take note, as we are, so shall you be.

Cech-Hutchinson-Terry-Cahill-Cole-Romeu-Ramires-Meireles/Luiz-Josh-Mata-Torres or the same line-up with Sturridge for Torres or Josh would be ideal

    We know mate.

If it's true, tell him where to stick it. Nobody in the country will be paying him that much.

He'll sign in the end, the most logical alternative destinations are Spurs or Arsenal and they wont even pay what we are offering.

£120k a week for an unproven centre back (at least at the highest level) from a team fighting relegation, yeah good one.

I take your point but Sturridge and Romeu have both burst into the first team this year and are getting regular game time. Josh should be playing more but that aside I think youth has been given more of a chance than in recent years.

What doesn't help is that we are making such a meal of all our fixtures at the moment that we cant chuck on a youth player with 30 to go when we are 3-0 up cos we are never in that position.

Maybe...but Cahill's fee is probably too cheap. If Cahill was around 20 million I could see Kenny signing him!!! He loves to pay over the odds for average englishmen.
