Trying not to get carried away, one point from the Millwall and Middlesborough games,
six points from Nottingham Forest and Reading (two doubles). What about these two coming up?
    Four points acceptable maybe?
    Attempting a cool look! :emoticon-0103-cool:

We have to be ambitious and go for the full 6 don't we?! Donny are near the bottom end of the table and we should be looking to beat them. Portsmouth at home should also be a win, I can see us being too strong for them (Hopefully)

It's just the number of games that worry me. Individually they look winnable, throw in WBA and Palace twice and things look slightly different.

Agree - the Carling Cup could yet turn out to cost us a few points. Let's hope we get knocked out of the FA cup at WBA.

I think we need to rest a few players but still put out a competative side. Turner could so with a breather, he's played a lot of footy having not had a full pre-season. Naylor for taylor and Heaton for marshall. Rudy up front for Miller.

We could end up with a team of:

    Heaton
    Blake Hudson Gerrard Naylor
    Conway Gunnarson McPhail Kiss Cowie
    Gustede

Still looks pretty useful and could nick it if WBA don't play a full strength side. Gives a few a break and gives a few some needed game time.

Yeah, definitely take the opportunity to rest a few players. Especially after playing so many games in such a short space of time.

Sorry to disagree Rhondda, playing a totally 2nd string would stop us being competative. Good on paper but not necessarily on the pitch. We need groups that have played together for some consistancy.

No need to be sorry Remote,

We all have our own ideas and friendly disagreements make this board tick.

Under normal situations I would love a FA Cup run but our Carling Cup run is enough for me, this team of ours is starting to make people believe. I don't want the FA Cup to get in the way.

Nooooooooooooo no F A cup run lets not be greedy we have already got a league cup semui final and maybe a final to contend with .lets go for the auto's lets be fair this will still be a great season without the overkill of a build up of game in the BIG picture of what we really all know is a priority.

Great minds think alike Rhondda. That's exactly the same team as I would pick for WBA. If we lose we lose, more important things to focus on.

We need to get 6 points from those two games as the next 2 games is a very difficult game away game to Southampton n then a home game against an in form Blackpool!! I just hope we don't have a replay in fa cup.....and as a team selection goes for west brom

Heaton, Quinn, Blake, Gerrard, Naylor, Ralls, Kiss, Conway, McPhail, Mason, Gustede

Conway been a bit below par so needs to have a run out as he's been tested on bench last 2 games, Kiss needs a run out not played recently although I haven't heard what's wrong with him?!!

This is my first post btw so hope I done it right lol

    welcome aboard 87.

The Southampton bubble has burst and with Lambert having been sent off they may struggle for the next couple (not sure if it was a straight red or two yellows) as he is instrumental to their game. Now is a good time to play them. I think that by the time we play them, we'll be above them.

Blackpool may be a more difficult game. It's psychological though. We need a draw to hold our position above them, they need to win to close the gap.

6 points from the next 2 games, pressure on Southampton, all to play for against Blackpool.

We should have out TWO F*C&!N@ WIDE MEN on board by then as well. Not forgotten those!

    Yes welcome Lateboy,

I think most of us would pick the same 16 for WBA but maybe a different 11.

Let's hope so a few wide men would be brill.
